Clash of Clans Guide: List of the best Balloon Lagoon base layouts

The Loon is on!

Supercell’s Clash of Clans is one of the most-played strategy titles around the world. So, to keep the users engaged, the updates need to keep coming and should be something unique. One such update that has been very popular is the Clan Capital, which has been an immensely popular mode ever since its introduction in the Spring of 2022. Themed after the notorious bombers the Balloon, the Balloon Lagoon unlocks after the Wizard Valley in the Clan Capital. As a result, bases must be established in order to provide adequate defense. This article will help you design some fantastic base layouts for the Balloon Lagoon in Clash of Clans.

Balloon Lagoon in Clash of Clans

Balloon Lagoon gets unlocked once your Capital Hall is upgraded to Level 4. Once again, there is a significant difference between the Wizard Valley and the Balloon Lagoon in terms of the unlock sequence of buildings or the number of buildings altogether.

Very much in a funny way, Balloon Lagoon favors balloons a lot, as most of the defensive buildings that get unlocked are the ground ones. Only a grand total of three Air Defenses can be placed in this base even after maxing out at District hall Level 5, which gives a further indication of the same.

The base unlocks plenty of ruins, but once again the players need not worry much about placing them. The Balloon Lagoon also unlocks the Rocket Balloon Barracks, Skeleton Barrel Barracks at Level 1, and the Flying Fortress Yard at Level 2.

Players and clans can design their favorite bases. However, Clash of Clans is yet to implement a Copy Base option. So you can’t just bring in a reference base and copy it. The bases in your base should be manually arranged.

Balloon Lagoon Level 1

Apart from starting with the basic defensive buildings and traps unlocked, the Level 1 upgrade of the district hall will unlock many defensive buildings. This level will have a maximum of 8 Spear Throwers and Eight Cannons that can be placed. Along with that comes Two each of Air Defense, Multi Cannon, Bomb Tower, Air Bombs, Mega Tesla, Crusher, and Four Rapid Rockets. Most of the defenses are unlocked in the first level itself, so you’ll have to build your base managing them are the other buildings in total that are made available with 60 wall pieces to support.

Balloon Lagoon Level 2

From level 2, only a few defensive buildings will gradually get increased, so most of the changes in the base will be by the upgrades. The Rocket Artillery is unlocked, which fires rockets at ground and air troops from a long distance, dealing heavy splash damage in the same way that Mortars do. However, due to its small blind spot, the Rocket Artillery cannot attack troops at close range. A maximum of two can be placed up to Level 3. With 20 extra walls, a more spread-out base can be designed.

Balloon Lagoon Level 3

The only new and final defensive structure unlocked in Balloon Lagoon is the Inferno Tower. With only one mode, Single, the Inferno Tower only attacks one target at a time, dealing extremely high DPS that increases the longer it attacks the same target. Another trap is unlocked, the Mega Mine, which can be toggled between attacking ground units and attacking air units at one time.

Balloon Lagoon Level 4

With 20 extra walls unlocked at this level, a total of 120 walls will remain in Level 5 too. Hence, the design can be somewhat similar between Level 4 and Level 5 of the Balloon Lagoon. One each of the Cannon, Spear Thrower, Rocket Artillery, and Air Bombs is unlocked with additional traps.

Balloon Lagoon Level 5

The final level of the Balloon Lagoon doesn’t unlock anything new with one each of the Cannon, Spear Thrower, and Air Bombs being added. Upgrade extra levels, and then arrange the base accordingly. You can also maintain the Level 4 base since there are new extra walls included.
