Free Fire Asia All-Stars (FFAA) 2020 announced: All you need to know

The ultimate survival shooter game, Free Fire is here with a new tournament and it is Free Fire Asia All-Stars (FFAA) 2020. This time, the Garena developed Free Fire Asia All-Stars 2020 is set to take place on June 12 and June 13. It is also set to feature top streamers and professional players from across Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. It will be the first online-only esports tournament in Asia for Garena. All the teams will compete for the prize pool of $80,000 (approximately INR 60,50,000).

As the FFAA 2020 is set to be held online, all the fans and followers of the Free Fire can witness the battle arena live on the official YouTube and BOOYAH channel! According to the official notification, the commentary from local casters will be available in multiple languages. Not enough details are available at this point but will be shared in the coming weeks through the official Free Fire Esports India Facebook page and official Free Fire Esports India Instagram account.


FFAA 2020 will be divided into two events

The Free Fire Asia All-Stars (FFAA) 2020 will be divided into two separate events. First will be the Influencer All-Stars on June 12 followed by the Professional or Pros All-Stars on June 13.

Influencer All-Stars

The Influencer All-Stars of FFAA 2020 will start with 12 teams competing for the prize pool of $30,000. There will be 3 teams each from the 4 regions, namely, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each team will have a combination of influencers and pros. The 3 teams representing India will be all-streamer teams. The voting for Favourite Streamers has already started and you can vote here.

Free Fire Asia All-Stars

Professional All-Stars

After the Influencer All-Stars gets completed, FFAA 2020 will have the top professional teams from the 4 regions. The Pros All-Stars will feature the top 3 teams from each of the participating regions and compete for the prize pool of $50,000. Again, for India, the invitations will be extended to the top finishers at the previously-held Scrim Wars.


Free Fire Asia All-Stars (FFAA) 2020 Format

The tournament format for both the Influencer and Professional All-Stars will be the same. The teams will compete against each other in 6 rounds, across 3 maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari.

According to the official announcement, points will be awarded based on round ranking and number of kills. The teams will get 20 points for winning the round and 2 points for each kill. At the end of each day (June 12 and June 13) the winning team will be announced. The 4 regions will also be ranked based on points earned by their teams and at the end of FFAA 2020.
