Jio Free Fire Gaming Masters: Registration details, Prize Pool, Format and more

On a quest for The Best!

JioGames, a subsidiary of Reliance Jio, is on a quest “to find the best gamer” as it’s soon going to hold a high profile tournament named ‘Free Fire Gaming Masters‘ with a total prize pool of ₹12.5 Lakh, presented by MediaTek. The tournament action will kick off on the 13th of January. In the meantime, the registrations are going on already in full swing. Registrations will end on the 10th of January, 2021, at 12:00 am.

This tournament is being presented by Mediatek and powered by JioGames. If you are a Free Fire player aiming to prove you are the best in the country, follow the steps in this article to know more details about the event which is going to be huge for the Indian esports market.

How to Register?

To register for Gaming Masters, you’ll have to first create an account on the JioGames portal by clicking here.

Jio Free Fire Gaming Masters

Not only you but your teammates will have to also create accounts as well. Post accounts creation, you’ll have to fill in the formal details which includes submitting your playing line-up, team name, team logo and of course, player UIDs. All of this has to be completed by the 10th of January 12:00am. So, plenty of time left to form or get into a squad!


Format of the Jio Free Fire Gaming Masters

Gaming Masters will be a ‘Three Stage Tournament‘. It will consist of DUOS as well as SOLOS. This format is clearly a bit complex to understand at first, but fret not! We will make it easier for you to grasp the working of this format. So, without any further ado let’s proceed.

Stage 1: DUOS

This will a DUOS ONLY stage. So, make sure to get a partner alright well ahead of the tourney. First, there will be two rounds, each lasting for a period of 32 days. Both the rounds will serve to be daily qualifiers and qualifiers finale. Post that, a third-round will be held, which will consist of the Top 3 Teams in their respective lobbies, daily from round 2, as a Playoff. From here on, 20 teams from the Playoffs will qualify for the Finale.

Stage 2: SOLOS

This stage will follow the simple enough SOLOS format. Following the rounds format in stage 1, this stage will also hold daily qualifiers and wish qualifiers finale in Round 1 and Round 2. Both the rounds will last for 12 Days, each. After that, a round 3 will contain the Top 8 players from their respective SOLOS lobbies. This round 3 will be of crucial importance as it’ll act as a Playoff, similar to that of stage 1.

After Solo Playoffs, top 8 players will qualify and form into teams accordingly.

  1. Team 1 – Rank 1 x Rank 8
  2. Team 2 – Rank 2 x Rank 7
  3. Team 3 – Rank 3 x Rank 6
  4. Team 4 – Rank 4 x Rank 5

Stage 3: Grand Finale

20 teams from DUOS playoffs and 4 teams from SOLOS playoffs will finally battle it out in a set of 7 Battle Royale matches.

As you can see, the Bermuda map will be used thrice to determine the champions while the rest will be repeated only twice.

The Scoring System

The scoring system will depend on two factors;

  • Number of Kills Confirmed
  • Placement Secured

Each Kill will reward 2 points and below you can find the Placement Points Chart. In Esports, it’s a matter of prime concern to maintain both Placement as well as Kill points.


General Rules and Regulations of the Jio Free Fire Gaming Masters

  • ○ Each and every player will have to play on the latest version of the game. Players devices should be suitable to the game; players will be responsible for any lag or FPS drop during the match.
  • ○ Players will use their own online accounts and Gamer Tags/IDs for Online Events.
  • ○ All the tournament matches will be played in the Free Fire official customs under the observation of Tournament Officials.
  • ○ Prior to a Tournament start time, Team Leaders will be notified of the official tournament Lobby ID and Password that will be hosted by Tournament Officials.
  • ○ Captains/Leaders will have to be ready with their team in-game during their scheduled time. (DUOS – Lobby can be joined as Team of 2 and not as Individual / SOLOS – Lobby can be joined as Individual)
  • ○ It is expected that all Tournament Matches will begin at the scheduled time. Any delay caused by issues arising out of a Team Player’s inadequate preparation will be assessed by Tournament Officials. Disciplinary action for tardiness may be assessed at the discretion of the Tournament Officials.
  • ○ The Tournament Officials reserves the right to make changes to the required match or player settings at any time in their sole discretion prior to the start of any Tournament Match.
  • ○ Players can use supporting items in the game such as load outs, characters, slot character skills and other skins.
  • ○ Gun skin attributes will be disabled throughout the entire tournament proceeding.
  • ○ Use of emulators, triggers etc. is prohibited during the tournament.
  • Maps – Bermuda, Kalahari and Purgatory.
  • ○ There will be no rematch and no pauses will be permitted during the Tournament play for any reason.
  • ○ Device Malfunction, Lag issue, Internet Problem, etc. players will be responsible for it and there will be stoppage of play.
  • ○ If any player in a team gets disconnected or drops out of the game for any reason, that player shall try to rejoin the game, if the player is still unable to join the game even after rejoining, that player will be responsible for it and there will be no rematch and the team will have to play the match without that player.

Free Fire Gaming Masters Prize Pool

The teams eligible to claim prize money will be contacted within 60 days after the team leaders submit the necessary documents which include bank account details. Post this, the team captains/leaders will get the prize money transferred to their respective bank accounts.
