In between the Easter Event and the much-awaited Team of the Season, EA released a new event FIFA Mobile 20 Golden Week! On the advent of the annual week-long event in Japan, Golden Week not only brings Japanese players but also players from other leagues including an End of Era Iker Casillas in a moviesque themed event.
FIFA Mobile 20 Golden Week Event Description
- Event Duration: April 27th – May 11th (14 Days)
- Ads: 3 ads daily giving 3 Western Energy per ad
- Coin Packs: 1 Coin Pack daily giving 3 Western Energy for 75,000 coins
- Energy: Western Energy refreshes 1 per hour with a max of 15 Western Energy
- Daily Login: 3 GW Hearts
FIFA Mobile 20 Golden Week Event Flow
Western
In the Western Tab, you will be using your Western Energy to play Skills Games and Matches. Winning the matches will reward you with GW Points, GW Hearts, and Skill Boosts. Make a choice between the Normal Path or Challenge Path. Remember you can only play 1 Path per day so if you start a path you are bound in sticking to it. If you begin a Path, the other one will be locked until the next day. Completing the Path rewards with GW Sheriff Points, which can be used to claim a Mystery Sheriff Reward!
Completing either of the Normal or Challenge Path requires 30 Western Energy. Both the paths reward equally in 100 GW Points, 6 GW Hearts, with the Challenge Path awarding an additional 60 Skill Boosts. There is a final reward of 1 GW Sheriff Point at the end of both the paths.
There are also daily coin packs that give 3 Western Energy for 75,000 coins each and 3 daily ads giving 3 Western Energy each.
Note: On Collecting rewards with 10 GW Sheriff Points, you can trade them for an all-important Hazard Key for the ongoing Hazard Event. Also, the path resets once only in 24 hours so even after completion you cannot play either of paths more than once per day.
Romance
Similar to the pattern of Lunar New Year, you will be using those GW Hearts earned in the Western Chapter to open bottles containing different rewards. Find the special Love Letter to win the set of three Daily Featured Rewards. Alternatively, opening every bottle in a single day will guarantee the Daily Featured Reward. Rewards change daily, so make sure to check in regularly!
You can save the Hearts and use them up once you have all of the rewards suiting you, but remember there are fourteen players who will appear in the tab each day so the players won’t repeat. Thus once you see your desired set of rewards or players popping up, don’t hesitate to spend.
Horror
In the Horror tab, you will be earning rewards in the Haunted Forest by playing VS Attack and Challenge Matches. As you progress through the varying checkpoints, you can claim rewards. Players have the choice of immediately redeeming their checkpoint reward, or advancing along the Haunted Forest Path for better rewards.
You can claim the checkpoint rewards can only be claimed once. And on doing so will restart your Haunted Forest progress to the very beginning of Path 1.Every players start with 3 Horror Points each. Losing a match costs you in losing 1 Horror Point. If you exhaust all your Horror Points eventually you have either purchase additional Horror Points using FIFA Points or Gems or start all over again at the beginning of the Haunted Forest Path 1.
Note: You’ll only lose your Horror Points if you loseplaying the hard event matches vs the AI, you do not lose any point while playing the low-risk VSA matches, so plan your strategy and play with relief.
Concession
As the name suggests the Concession tab rewards you for your grind. Here, you can redeem your hard-earned GW Points for Coins, Skill Boosts, Training XP, and Concession Masters, including the likes of End of an Era Iker Casillas F2P and a 101 OVR Prime Icon Hidetoshi Nakata! P2P Whale alert for obvious reasons.
SBC
Similar to Easter, there are Two SBCs, which exchanges for Rank Shards, which you will use for ranking up. You should be completing both of the SBCs but the longer you wait, the cheaper the players will become. It’s not that tough, each requires only 5 players, all of them being 86+ OVR, while two of them being Golden Week players. By next week, Golden Week players will be cheap enough and you’ll also be getting them for free from the Western paths so just hold off on completing the SBCs for a little while, you have until the course of the event.
Running the Math for F2P Players
As per our calculations, the following sums up the chances for F2P Players.

Each Challenge Path requires 30 Western Energy and only be completed once per day. Thus in total, it requires 420 energy to complete the Challenge Path a total of 14 times earning 14 Sheriff Points, 1400 GW Points, and 84 Hearts.
You can complete all 14 turns of the Path without the Coin Packs
Every day from the Challenge path you get 6 hearts per day amounting to a total of 84 hearts. With an additional daily login reward of 3 hearts per day, it comes up to 126 Hearts
Total 126 Hearts and 24 Hearts are needed per day to complete each Daily Reward set
You start off with 3 Horror Points, and you can get additional Horror Points from the Romance tab daily rewards.
FIFA Mobile 20 Golden Week Tips and Tricks
After a much tiring Easter Event, Golden Week is a really decent event that has its own grinding part in it. Before you start out on your western tour here is our suggestion.
Western
Complete either of the two paths, once every day. Whichever path you take you to get the same amount of rewards besides the skill boost. So choose a path depending on your skill and gameplay.
Remember you can play a max of only 1 Path per day. Only One. That’s how it is designed. So even by buying coin packs, you can’t gain an extra advantage like earlier events. So just don’t let your energy refill the 15th energy mark, do the usual drill play your daily path reset every day and you’ll be good to go just by watching the ads and hourly refresh.
You’ll get all the 14 rewards from the Western Tab along with the precious Hazard Key so do remember to take it before the event goes off.
Concession
From the Concession tab, you can easily get any of the 98 OVR Players or two 92 OVR Players. Additionally, there are offers for resources where you can spend your GW Points on. If you ignore the players you can go for a massive total of 3500 Skill Boosts or 4.5 million coins all Free to Play from the Concession tab. On getting 3 players you can unlock an offer to get either a 99 RB Tomiyasu or 100 RW Kubo. But that will require spending a huge stash of gems and that is pointless considering TOTS is near.
Note: Gabriel, Vidal, and Casillas are all F2P but you can claim only on them. Besides, since they being F2P, they’ll be available for cheap in the market, and Casillas is unactionable so keep it in mind.
Horror
The matchmaking for the VSA matches is a combination of both OVR and form. Although changing your OVR after the event started won’t help you in any way. Plus Form will play a factor but it’s significantly more gradual than usual POTM tournament. Draws will not impact the form though.
The Challenge Event matches vary in terms of their challenges. They get harder with every challenge as you progress through for better rewards. Remember you can only lose horror points while playing these challenge matches and not the VSA.
Check the Additional Requirements and plan your strategy accordingly for the matches, remember once you lose all your Horror points you’ll either have to start from the beginning or spend gems.
