Skill Analysis

Janna is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four actives. In this Janna guide, we gonna see how her abilities in LoL Wild Rift work and when you should use which skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.

Passive â€“ Tailwind

passive

Janna passively gains 8% Movement Speed. When moving toward her all nearby allied champions also gain this bonus.

Skill 1 – Howling Gale

skill 1

Janna is able to create a small storm that grows in size with time (max 3 seconds). She can activate the spell again to release the storm. On release, this storm will fly towards the direction it was cast in, dealing 60 – 120 magic damage (40%-85% AP) and knocking away any enemies in its path for 0.5 – 1.25 seconds. Each second charged increases the whirlwind range by 25% and his destination is always reached in 1.5 seconds.

Skill 2 – Zephyr

Passive: Janna summons an air elemental that increases her Movement Speed by 6% when not on cooldown.

Active: She also activates this ability to deal 65 damage ( +60%) and slows an enemy’s Movement Speed by 30% (+0.06%) for 2 seconds

Skill 3 – Eye of the Storm

skill 3

Janna conjures a defensive gale that shields an ally champion or turret absorbing 90 damage (+80%) and increases their Attack Damage by 10 (10%). The shield vanishes after 5 seconds if not damaged.

Skill 4 – Monsoon

skill 4

Janna surrounds herself in a magical storm, throwing enemies back. After the storm has settled, soothing winds heal nearby allies for 100 Health (+50) each second for 3 seconds while the ability is active.

Skill Up Methods for Janna

Skill up the Ultimate whenever it is available. Regarding other skills, upgrade the 2nd skill, then the 3rdskill, and lastly the 1st skill.

Best Runes Setup and Spells for Janna in Wild Rift

Runes Setup

Wild Rift Janna Guide

Aery

Being support, Janna needs to have the additional damage and healing stats which are provided through Aery.

Weakness

A lot of Janna’s skill kit is about making the enemy literally lose the ground under their feet which gets enhanced through this rune perfectly.

Regeneration

By not only giving bonus AR and MR to you but also your ally Loyalty sure is a great companion for the whole team. Being a squishy support, having a rune that regenerates missing health is a good companion. It is also able to regenerate mana if necessary which is a nice bonus.

Hunter – Genius

Janna doesn’t suffer from a highly Mana usage thus giving her some freedom of choice in this departure. By taking Genius she can spam her abilities frequently – giving her a huge advantage in team fights.

Battle Spells

Flash

Flash is quite essential for every champion. This doesn’t change for Janna.

Either Ignite or Heal

If you are playing Janna more aggressively burning the fleeing enemy with Ignite is your call. Nevertheless, if you want to synergize with your items more and get their full potential, taking Heal might be the better option since it procs with items f.e like Echo.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Janna Gameplay Tips

As we figured out Janna is a Support best suited to being played in the Dragon Lane. Additionally, remember that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror so make sure you understand the map side before starting to the lane. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift Janna guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

Janna´s main focus in the early game is to give her ADC enough space to farm minions which she achieves through poking the enemies away while shielding any incoming attacks. If you feel confident enough you can change to more offensive gameplay and do some risky gameplays if your ADC joins you by pushing the wave and keeping the enemy team pressured under their tower. But only do this if you unlocked all of your abilities since Janna has a lot of gank denying and surviving skills.

Wild Rift Janna Guide

Since Janna has a movement speed boost and the Wild Rift´s map is rather small you can easily roam to the mid lane if you see a good opportunity or to counter gank your enemy support.

Mid Game

After hopefully destroying the enemy´s turret, Janna can either start roaming fully and support her allies. As a support, you want to be part of every team fight occurring by slowing down and restricting enemy attacks and shielding and healing your team. Normally you would want to support your ADC the most but if they are behind with money or experience try to find out who your team´s carry is and always play around them.

Wild Rift Janna Guide

While taking objectives such as Dragon or Baron, Janna can be very useful by keeping her team shielded while pushing the enemies off her team with her ultimate, thus denying them to steal anything.

Late Game

Janna’s late game is mainly focused on keeping your team safe by either shielding or healing them in team fights. Moreover, you can deny enemy engages with your whirlwind and/or push them out of attack range with Moonsoon.

Wild Rift Janna Guide

Other than that Janna has a very versatile kit that can be used to also start engages for your team for example by knocking up the enemy team with her first skill, making them vulnerable for your allies’ attacks. Her passive movement speed gives Janna great mobility, thus making her be everywhere in little to no time. You might want to try specific skill combos like this to unleash her full potential.

Skill 1 + Basic + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Ultimate

Janna shines as a Duo with almost every ADC but forms the strongest pairs and serves as Best Combos with Draven, Ezreal, and Miss Fortune.

Final Thoughts

Janna is a great champion with a very versatile skillset, making her viable support in almost every team composition. Her strong poking potential combined with her great mobility and supporting attributes is what distinguishes her from a lot of champions. Even though her durability is not great, you still feel strong playing Janna and not pressured to wait for your team to make a move.
