One Punch Man Road to Hero 2.0 Guide: Tips, Tricks and Redeem Codes

Time to get started!

One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 is an idle mobile gacha game in the RPG genre. It sticks to the original anime and brings in the original Japanese voice casts. With heroes, villains, and monsters available, players can create and build a team to help save the Earth. In this One Punch Man Road to Hero 2.0 guide, we will help you become the ultimate hero without doing the Saitama exercise plan. Let us remind you that One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 is different from One Punch Man: The Strongest where we also created a beginner’s guide. Now that is cleared, let us start and hop on to the road to hero.

1. Character Positioning is important

Putting your characters in the perfect spot may make or break your team. There are nine available spots for you to fill. Before the battle starts you can see the enemies’ formation and this is the best time to fix yours.

Since Genos, Spring Mustachio, and Snek have the ability to do column damage we put them against the most number of enemies. With Metal Knight in front of Metal Bat to protect him (higher defense), the latter has the column attack ability while Metal Knight has the ability to attack all enemies.

2. Learning Character type advantage and bonus

In addition to the character’s active skill (ultimate skill), don’t forget to take note that there is also the type of advantages and disadvantages. Hi-tech is stronger than weapon type. Weapon type is stronger than physical type. The physical type is stronger than the psychic type. Lastly, Psychic type is stronger than hi-tech. These types may add 25% to a character’s damage.

You can have a type bonus whenever you put three characters with the same type. For example, you put three weapon character types in your team with a physical and psychic character, you will activate +10% HP and +10% ATK. Three characters with the same type together with two same types will yield max HP +15% and ATK +20%. Four characters will have a bonus of max HP +20% and ATK +20%. If you’re going all out five characters of the same type, that will give you a maximum bonus of max HP +25% and ATK +25%.

3. Complete Stories to unlock the City

Saitama and Genos will patrol the city or chapter you’re in. You should take note that Genos’ bag will reach its maximum every 12 hours. Checking the game and logging in every 12 hours is recommended. Daily freebies are also ripe for the taking, plus the current event rewards.

One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0

One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 is not like your usual idle game. Your characters will not level up just by joining a battle repeatedly. Instead, in every battle, you will receive a character EXP capsule that you will use to manually level up your chosen character. Aside from that, you will also need cash and strength crystal.

Yes, you will need to complete the stories in the game in order to unlock parts of the city. An example is the “Adventure” part of the city that is unlockable after completing stage 5-4 of the story. In order to completely get all the benefits of the game, try to upgrade your team and complete the story stages.

How to get Free Diamonds in One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0

As a free to play mobile game, One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 gives its players free diamonds here and there. Players can get it from just simply signing in every day and completing the Objectives. By pulling characters from Recruit and unlocking new hero, monster, or villain, free-to-play players can also receive free diamonds. You can get it by going to Character > Album > and clicking on the newest addition to your team.

Another way to get free diamonds is by doing Starter Training. By completing each training that you’ll get from Saitama, players can earn 50 free diamonds each.

Friendship means free Gacha pulls

Since you already have an idea of how and where to get free diamonds in the game, let us talk about gachas. You will need at least 2500 diamonds to pull 10 characters. We recommend saving that minimum amount to have a better chance of pulling an Elite character. At least have 2500 diamonds or 10 Recruit Tokens before trying your luck.

Having friends in the game also gives you free gacha pulls. By giving each other Hearts or Friendship Points, you can save 100 hearts for a free x10 character pull. Take note that you only have a maximum of 30 friends so make sure that they are active and at least log in every day. You can unfriend inactive friends by tapping on their profile picture and select unfriend.
