Skill analysis

Kai’Sa is a champion with the common five abilities sets of one passive with two components and four active abilities. In this Kai’Sa guide, let’s see what are her abilities in LoL Wild Rift, and when you can use which skill to be in the top form in the current rank season.

Passive – Second Skin

passive
  • Living Weapon: Kai’Sa’s abilities evolved based upon the permanent stats she gains from Items and Levels.
  • Caustic Wounds: Kai’Sa’s attacks and allies immobilizing effects stack Plasma for 4 seconds and deal 5 bonus magic damage (5 + 15% AP). Plasma detonates at 5 stacks, dealing bonus magic damage equal to 15% (15% + 0.025% AP) of their missing Health. Plasma detonations deal a max of 400 damage to monsters.

The passive has two components, both of which have their own benefit depending upon the item build. The first one clearly states that Kai’Sa’s abilities will evolve as per the item, which means she can play both AD or AP depending upon the items. The second component of the passive stacks Plasma and deals extra damage on the 5th stack. The damage will be more if the enemy’s HP is low.

Skill 1 – Icathian Rain

skill 1

Launches 6 missiles that split evenly among nearby enemies, each dealing 50 physical damage (50 + 35% bonus AD + 25% AP). Additional hits on champions or monsters deal 25% damage.

  • Living Weapon: 70 Attack Damage (current: 0) – Fires 12 missiles.
  • Minions below 35% Health take 200% damage.

It’s an AoE attack that makes Kai’Sa a strong opponent in one on one fight. It is the main damage dealing ability of Kai’Sa.

Skill 2 – Void Seeker

skill 2

Fires a blast that reveals the first enemy hit, add 2 Plasma stacks, and deals 106 magic damage (30 + 130% AD + 70% AP).

  • Living Weapon: 80 Ability Power (current: 0) – Adds 3 stacks and refunds 70% Cooldown on champion hits.

The ability can be used in two ways i.e. to increase the pace of stacks on an opponent so that the DPS is increased and another way to mark enemies far away so that the ultimate can be used on them. The use of the ability requires much practice and precision so as to give the best result.

Skill 3 – Supercharge

skill 3

Charges up for 1 second(s), gaining 60% Movement Speed (60% + 100% Attack Speed). For 4 seconds after charging, gain 45% Attack Speed.

Living Weapon: 65% Attack Speed – Grants invisibility during the charge up.

Attacks reduce Supercharge’s Cooldown by 0.5 seconds.
Charge time and Movement Speed scale with Attack Speed

The ability is a type of boost which increases the attack speed and movement. But you cannot attack while using the skill. The invisibility sure helps in catching the opponent off guard with Icathian Rain as attack ability.

Skill 4 – Killer Instinct

skill 4

Dash to a location near an enemy champion marked by Plasma, gaining a shield that absorbs 133 damage (75 + 100% AD + 75% AP) for 2 seconds.

The ultimate is used to finish off the opponent in most cases as it throws Kai’Sa to nearby an enemy champion. The skill should be used cautiously when the enemy team has burned out their abilities, else the result would very likely be bad. Another way is to jump straight to the enemy backline to assassinate the ADC/AP.

Skill Up Methods for Kai’Sa

Skill up the Ultimate whenever it is available. Regarding other skills, upgrade the 1st skill, then the 3rd skill, and lastly the 2nd skill. But first, unlock every skill, then follow the chronology.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Kai’Sa Gameplay Tips

We already know that Kai’Sa is a dragon lane champion and thrives in the later stages of the game. Always remember that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror so make sure you understand the map side before starting to lane. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift Kai’Sa guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

Wild Rift Kai'Sa Guide

Kai’Sa is a little weak in the early game laning phase. The major reason is due to the short basic attack range. She gets into the competition once the 1st ability is a little upgraded within 4-5 minutes in the game. The best way during the early game is to stack plasma and use the 5th attack to do huge damage on the enemy champion.

Mid Game

The mid-game is very important for Kai’Sa as she purchases more and more items, she gets to upgrade her abilities. During mid-game, she can go for assassinations and take down enemy champions.

Her burst damage-dealing ability makes her a great duel fight champion. Her 3rd ability not only allows her to do surprise attacks but also gives her mobility to rotate.

Late Game

In the late game Kai’Sa excels with most of her items purchased, she is in her best potential. Her 1st ability is upgraded which deals with heavy damage and 3rd ability which is like a steroid for her strengths. The ultimate help out to get close to any champion and kill her instantly with her 1st ability.

But one of the major issues with the ultimate is that if Kai’Sa is trapped by many enemy champions then she will die instantly. Have to be cautious in using the ultimate, only when an enemy champion is alone or all enemy champions have used their abilities.

Final thoughts

Kai’Sa has unique gameplay and is fun for many players. Her damage outburst makes her a deadly weapon but at the same time her durability is questionable. The right combination of items following the enemy team composition is something that makes Kai’Sa very flexible between AD or AP role. With everything discussed, we can conclude that she has great mobility and can carry the team with the right gameplay.
