Skill Analysis

Shyvana is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four actives. In this Shyvana guide, let’s see what are his abilities in LoL Wild Rift, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of her.

Passive – Fury of the Dragonborn

Wild Rift Shyvana Guide

Shyvana’s passive makes her deal 20% bonus damage to the Elemental Drakes and Elder dragon. Killing Drakes will enhance her skills permanently in her Dragon form.

Skill 1 – Twin Bite

Upon casting this skill Shyvana empowers her next basic attack which strikes twice as well as dealing 58 (100% AD) and 12 (20%/40%/60%/80% AD) physical damage. The cool-down for this skill reduces by 0.5 seconds whenever you attack with your auto-attack or skills.

Dragon Form – When you are in your dragon form, your strikes will cover a larger area and also apply On-hits upon all enemies you have hit.
Drake Buff 1 – Killing a Mountain Drake will empower her First skill permanently in her dragon form which slows down the enemies by 60%.

Skill 2 – Burnout

A round of flame will appear that spins around Shyvana while dealing 25/40/55/70 amount of magic damage to enemies, not only that it also increases Shyvana’s movement speed by 30%/35%/40%/45% for the next 3 seconds. If you attack with this skill, its duration will be increased to 4 seconds.

Dragon Form – The area of the flames will be larger to poke enemies easily.
Drake Buff 2 – Killing a Cloud Drake will empower her Second skill permanently in her dragon form which grants her an additional 25% movement speed during burnout.

Skill 3 – Flame Breath

Shyvana will launch a fireball that deals 60/110/160/210 base damage as well as scorching the target for the next 5 seconds. Shyvana can deal additional magic damage to the scorched target equal to 3.5% of their max health. So try to scorch the enemy first then apply your skills to deal more damage.

Dragon Form – The damage becomes stronger and it also leaves fire on the area for 4 seconds upon impact. The fire will keep damaging enemies within it as well as scorching them since it’s an AoE.
Drake Buff 3 – Killing an Infernal Drake will empower her Third skill permanently in her dragon form which grants her true damage against scorched enemies.

Skill 4 – Dragon’s Descent

This skill will help her to transform into a dragon. The Passive-will make her generate 1 fury per second and 2 furies per attack. When it reaches 100 she can cast her skill to transform into a dragon.

Active – Now you can access all the empower attacks, gaining 150/250/350 HP and leap to the designated direction. Upon landing deals 150/250/350 magic damage and targets knocked towards her landing direction.
Drake Buff 4 – Killing an Ocean Drake will empower her Fourth skill permanently in her dragon form which grants her +100 HP.

Best Runes Setup and Spells for Shyvana in League of Legends: Wild Rift

Our Wild Rift Shyvana guide contains the best Runes Setup and spells in League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Runes Setup

Wild Rift Shyvana Guide

Electrocute (Keystone)

Hitting a champion with 3 separate attacks or abilities in 3 seconds deals bonus adaptive damage. Shyvana’s early game is relatively weak and has to depend on auto-attacks and has a low attack range for trading. Electrocute is perfect for her as it gives an early burst for ability-focused champions, allowing her to trade with his opposing laners.

Hunter – Vampirism (Domination)

Gains 2% physical vamp or 2% magic vamp. Taking down the champions will grant 2 attack damage with 1% physical vamp or 4 ability power with 1% magic vamp. Since Shyvana is a melee hero and depends upon the skill, it will help you to do skill rotation, allowing her to melt the squishy targets instantly.

Hunter – Titan (Resolve)

Gains 20% max health, unique champion takedowns grant 20 max health, and 4% tenacity which will help you in the late game for a team fight.

Hunter Genius

Gains 2.5 Ability Haste. Unique champion takedowns grant 2.5 Ability Haste. As Shyvana depends heavily on her abilities, Ability Haste helps to refresh her skill rotation, allowing her to reset and deal more damage during the laning phase and team fights. As Shyvana is heavily involved in team fights, she can stack unique champion takedowns easily.

Battle Spells

Flash

Shyvana is fragile in the early phase so she can not escape from a tricky situation. Flash is very essential for Shyvana, which will help her to teleport a short distance in a designated direction; to escape death, or to snatch a kill.

Smite

Since Shyvana is a jungler, smite is the most useful spell for her. It will help her to clear the jungle monsters(10% bonus damage), quickly as well as levelling her up (20% extra exp). Upgrade it to Challenging smite to target the enemy champions.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Shyvana Gameplay Tips

Since Shyvana is a Tank with magic damage, the best lane for him is Baron Lane. Or else you can play in the jungle to farm more efficiently. The Wild Rift’s map is a mirror, so it is needed to understand the map side before laning. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift Shyvana guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid and late game in the game.

Early Game

Buy a long sword at first and place an award in the enemy jungle(near buff). If no enemy is around, start jungle. You can use your smite right away to take a blue buff, so it will cool down again for another charge.

Wild Rift Shyvana Guide

After killing the frog, do a quick rotation in the top lane and try to do a successful gank. If a red buff is available, take it too. Just try to focus on leveling up and unlock your ultimate. Then return to the base if needed and buy items( according to the situation). Do not conserve your smite.

Flame Poke (Skill 3+ Skill 2+ Skill 1)

Mid Game

This is the main stage for him to join team-fights. Once your 2 basic core items are ready, you are good to go. Use your skill 3 wisely cause this is the only long-ranged skill for Shyvana.

Wild Rift Shyvana Guide

Try not to use your ultimate on a single enemy. Do not afraid to die, only if your death saves your Carry. Remember to push turret whenever you get the chance. Watch out for your Fury bar before initiation. Try to take at least 2 drakes in this phase(for skill enhance).

Burnout Flame Bite (Skill 4+ Skill 3+ Skill 1+ Skill 2)

Late Game

Since you are a Tank/Fighter with jungling abilities, so try to take Herald/drakes which will keep pressuring enemy lanes. You can do a surprise attack on the enemy when they are taking drake since Shyvana has an AoE effect on her second skill.

Wild Rift Shyvana Guide

Therefore, never leave your main damage dealer at this moment. In the late game, Shyvana shines the most. Toggling your skill 2 and placing the ward is very important before ganking. Leap towards the enemy wisely cause it will turn the tide of the game.

Final Thoughts

A Fighter/Tank-type champion, Shyvana is generally known for her unique Drake-killing ability. When playing Shyvana in the Baron lane, we can rank her as an A-tier pick and an easy-to-play champion. But, depending on the team composition, Shyvana can be played as a juggler, owing to her ability to damage and movement speed, which allows her to clear the jungle fast.
