GOOD SMILE COMPANY, Inc has announced that the English Worlds version of Jigokuraku: BATTLE IN HELL’S PARADISE will officially launch on both Android and iOS on July 1, 2026, alongside Steam. Based on the popular anime, this survival RPG, supervised by MAPPA, was previously released on mobile and PC in Japan.
Fight for survival on the mysterious island of Shinsenkyo
So, BATTLE IN HELL’S PARADISE is the first game adaptation of the hit anime that puts you in the middle of relentless battles against grotesque monsters and the deadly Tensen who rules the island. Set across the enigmatic island of Shinsenkyo, every encounter of yours is a battle for survival, forcing you to gather allies and strengthen your team.
I’m really loving how the game expands the anime’s world while also staying true to its dark atmosphere that every fan loves. And alongside the stunning animations supervised by MAPPA, you can build parties with your favorite characters like Gabimaru, Yuzuriha, and more and engage in dynamic battles together. I didn’t try the Japanese version, but the gameplay looks super fun.
You can look forward to new characters and storylines
If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll like how every Ally comes with a completely original story created exclusively for this game, and the devs promise to introduce untold stories, alternate “what-if” scenarios, and new long-form story arcs in future updates. Plus, I can’t wait to meet new characters such as Yori, Yaichiro, Sasa, Zack the Criminal, and Kakutan, which adds a spin-off-like vibe.
Oh, the game also has this voiced interaction system, and depending on the characters in your party, you’ll unlock special conversations that never appeared in the anime or manga. Overall, the game looks super promising with the planned event stories, co-op gameplay, full voice acting, stunning visuals, solid cast of characters, and more. I’m looking forward to this English Worlds version now.
