Clash of Clans is celebrating its 14th Clashiversary with a completely new event format called Clash of Cards. Instead of the usual battles or challenges, this month-long event turns your favourite troops into collectible cards that you can earn, complete, and trade with your clanmates.
During August 2026, you will collect card packs from battles, events, giveaways, and other activities. Each card belongs to a specific collection, and completing sets will unlock rewards, including magic items, decorations, ores, and the new Manga Fury Prince Skin. Here’s everything you need to know about the Clash of Cards event.
Clash of Clans Clash of Cards Event Overview
The Clash of Cards event runs throughout August 2026 as part of the 14th Clashiversary celebrations. The idea behind the event is simple: collect as many troop cards as possible, complete your collection, and trade duplicates with other players to find the cards you are missing.
Your main goal during the event is to complete different card sets and collect enough unique cards to unlock milestone rewards. Every card features a Clash troop, and they are divided into different rarities.
Some cards will be easier to find, while others will be much harder to collect. If you receive duplicate cards, they are not wasted since they can be used for trading with your clanmates or exchanged through the Trader Shop.
How to Collect Card Packs in Clash of Cards Event
There are several ways to earn card packs throughout the event. The main event will be the Card Hunt, where you can collect packs by playing multiplayer battles.
From August 1 to August 31, you can earn two card packs every day from battles, along with 10 additional packs available at the start of the event. This means you can collect up to 68 cards just through regular attacks during the event period.
During raids, you need to destroy the correct building to claim your card pack. Once you complete the requirement, the pack will be added to your collection. You will also receive your first card pack after completing the Card Collecting tutorial when you first enter the event.
More card packs will be available through the Supercell Store from August 3 to August 30 by completing exclusive tasks, along with possible free offers. The Trader will also provide free card packs on August 4, August 11, and August 18.
The free track of the Medal Event, running from August 12 to August 31, will include additional card packs, and Supercell will also distribute special card drops through its social media channels during the month.
Opening Card packs and building your collection
Opening card packs has its own dedicated animation, similar to opening a chest in Clash of Clans. When you open a pack, you will go through three steps: reveal the card, confirm the card, and continue.
The game will immediately show whether the card is new or a duplicate. You can also get a small hint about the card’s rarity before fully revealing it if you pay close attention.
To check your collection, you can open the Clash of Cards menu from the event button or tap the Clash of Cards decoration placed in your village. The collection screen shows every available card, organised by rarity. Cards you have already collected will appear normally, while missing cards will be greyed out.
If you own only one copy of a card, it stays locked in your collection and cannot be traded. However, if you have two or more copies, those duplicates can be exchanged with other players. Completing a full rarity set will also give you additional rewards, so collecting every card becomes the main focus throughout the event.
How Card Trading works in the Clash of Cards event
Player Trading
Trading is one of the biggest parts of this event, allowing you to exchange duplicate cards with your clanmates and complete your missing collections.
If you are missing a specific card, you can request it directly from your collection screen. The request will appear in your Clan Chat, allowing other members to send you a duplicate if they have one available. At launch, both players need to be online at the same time to complete a trade.
There are a few restrictions to keep trading balanced. You can only trade duplicate cards, meaning your only copy of a card cannot be exchanged. Card requests will also have a cooldown similar to Clan Castle troop requests to prevent Clan Chat from becoming overloaded. If you do not want to wait for the cooldown, you can skip it using Gems.
Trader Shop
If you have too many duplicate cards and cannot find someone who needs them, you can use the Trader Shop to exchange them for new card packs. The Trader allows you to exchange duplicate cards for different types of packs, including guaranteed category rewards.
You can exchange two duplicate copies of the same card for a random card, a random Elixir Card, a random Dark Elixir Card, or a random Builder Base Card. For Super Troop Cards, you need three duplicate copies of the same card.
Keep in mind that Trader will not allow you to trade away your final copy of a card. This means you need at least three copies before using these exchanges.
Clash of Cards Event Rewards
Your first permanent reward is the Clash of Cards Decoration, which remains in your village even after the event ends. This decoration will also act as an access point to your completed collection.
Completing different card categories will unlock major rewards. Collecting all Elixir Cards gives you a Rune of Elixir, while completing the Dark Elixir collection rewards you with a Rune of Dark Elixir.
Finishing the Builder Base Card collection gives you a Rune of Gold, and collecting every Super Troop Card rewards you with a Legendary Chest.
You can also unlock rewards based on the number of different cards collected. The list is as follows:
- 10 different Cards: Book of Cards Decoration
- 20 different Cards: 5,000 Shiny Ore
- 30 different Cards: 500 Glowy Ore
- 40 different Cards: 50 Starry Ore
- 50 different Cards: 2 Builder Potions
- 60 different Cards: Manga Fury Prince Skin
