eFootball 2027 debuts new Show Time skill this August 2026, with new Epics and Legends confirming their arrival

New Show Time skill!

Story Highlights
  • eFootball 2027 introduces a new defensive skill focused on physical contact and standing tackles.
  • Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, and Daniele De Rossi headline the Power Tackle pack.
  • John Terry, Sergio Ramos, and Robin van Persie will officially be added to the game.

eFootball 2027 has arrived with a big batch of content, with a new Power Tackle skill making its debut alongside several Epic defenders in a themed pack. Also, reports from a private eFootball event in Istanbul, Turkey, are pointing towards even more upcoming Legends, including a mysterious player who could reach a 112 rating.

There is still plenty that KONAMI has not officially revealed, so some of the information below should be treated as early reports rather than confirmed announcements.

eFootball 2027 August 2026 update overview

New Power Tackle skill makes its debut

The biggest gameplay-related addition is Power Tackle, a new Player Skill that focuses heavily on physical challenges. KONAMI describes Power Tackle as making it easier to perform a standing tackle that wins the ball through body contact, while also making it easier to knock the opponent off balance.

The first cards showcasing the skill are already here, with Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, and Daniele De Rossi appearing in the new Epic: Power Tackle Special Player List.

Chiellini comes with Aerial Fort and Long-reach Tackle, while Bonucci gets Long-reach Tackle, and De Rossi gets Shadow Hunt, with all three also having Power Tackle.

The skill feels like an upper-body counterpart to Long-reach Tackle, with more emphasis on using strength and contact to win the ball. It also opens up some interesting possibilities for future defensive cards. An ultimate defender with Long-reach Tackle, Power Tackle, and Shadow Hunt would certainly be game-breaking.

Private Istanbul event reportedly revealed more Legends

A private eFootball event was recently held in Istanbul, Turkey, and participants have indicated that more information revealed during the event will be shared publicly.

Importantly, the information is reportedly not limited to Turkish players, with some of the details concerning upcoming content for the wider eFootball player base.

At the moment, three Legend names are officially known, as John Terry, Sergio Ramos, and Robin van Persie will officially be added to the game. Another 10 Legends are reportedly still to be revealed. The identities of those remaining players have not been officially confirmed, so it is worth waiting for the actual announcements.

A 112-rated player could be coming to eFootball 2027

Perhaps the most interesting piece of information circulating from the event is the mention of a player who could reach a staggering 112 Overall Rating. Nothing has been confirmed about who this could be, but I feel this version would be a Big Time card.

KONAMI has already pushed player ratings beyond the 107-108 mark with the current generation of Epic and Show Time cards, so a 112-rated card would represent another major jump. I’m expecting someone like Ronaldo Nazário to debut, so hopefully that’s the case.
