The Forza series is one of the most popular racing video game franchises out there. With several million copies sold, the series remains to be one of the highest-grossing video game franchises in terms of commercial success. While the franchise is mainly subdivided into Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series, we also saw a spin-off titled Forza Street which was initially released in May 2018 under the title Miami Street, with its rebranding as a Forza title taking place in April 2019. While the game is currently available on PC, Microsoft revealed in a recent announcement that Forza Street will release next month for Android and iOS mobile devices.
As per the announcement, the official release date for Forza Street is May 5, 2020. The game was developed by Turn 10 Studios and is published by Xbox Game Studios, on both Google Play Store as well as App Store. The game will be free-to-play on both of these stores, while monetization will be based on microtransactions, similar to all games that follow a “freemium” model.
About Forza Street
Just like the PC version, Forza Street on mobile will feature different game modes. Players can take part in multiple story-driven events and progress through the game, along with several options for quick races. As players take part in multiple races in Forza Street, they will eventually unlock more cars. Different varieties of popular sports cars are featured in the game and as stated by the publishers, they range “from classic muscle to modern sports and retro supercars”.

Pre-registrations for the game have already begun for Android platforms while the same for iOS is yet to be confirmed. According to the publishers, players who play Forza Street during its first month, i.e, between May 5 to June 5 2020, will be rewarded with a Founder’s Incentive. The Founders Incentive includes in-game currency as well as a 2017 Ford GT which players can use in the game. While Forza Street may not be the most critically acclaimed game in the Forza franchise, the fact that it is coming to mobile devices is indeed a good news for all mobile gamers out there.
