Genshin Impact releases a new patch every six weeks. The beta test for the upcoming patch is conducted during the first few weeks of the current patch. With version 4.4 coming up on the 31st of January, 2024, HoYoverse is accepting applications for players to join the beta test for Version 4.5, which will be released on the 19th of March, 2023 in Genshin Impact.
How to apply for Genshin Impact 4.5 beta test
To apply, players will need to be a member of the Genshin Impact Official Discord server. The deadline for the application is Monday, 24th of January, 2022 08:00 UTC. Players need to fill up a form to complete the registration for the version 4.5 beta test. The form will ask for some information. The players can not edit the form, so please fill up all the information carefully.
Please note: The beta test is only available for PC and mobile players, PS4/PS5 players will not be eligible for this.
Other required information for the 4.5 beta test
- Genshin Impact UID
- Discord tag (the username followed by the four digits after the #) of the account used to join the Genshin Impact Official Discord server.
- Discord ID of the account used to join the Genshin Impact Official Discord server. This is different from the Discord tag.
To access Discord ID on a PC (browser/desktop app), first, enable Developer Mode. To do this, click on the gear icon on the bottom left. The user settings page will be opened. Click on the “Advanced” tab and enable Developer Mode. After enabling Developer Mode, right-click on the profile picture and select Copy ID.
To access Discord ID on the mobile app, first, enable Developer Mode. To do this, tap the profile icon on the bottom right. Tap on “Behavior” under App Settings and enable Developer Mode. After enabling Developer Mode, tap on the three dots on the top right, and the option to Copy ID will show up.
Eligibility
- Must be a member of the Genshin Impact Official Discord server and have your DMs open for them to contact the applicant.
- Must be OVER THE AGE OF 18 at the time the application is submitted otherwise the applicant will be denied.
- Must have a CURRENT AND UNEXPIRED government-issued ID such as a Passport or a Driver’s License. These are not the only IDs accepted but they would be the most common form of ID.
Applicants will be required to provide the email address that is used to create their Hoyoverse account. If chosen, this is the email where the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) will be sent. Players shouldn’t leak any information as it might cost them a penalty in the form of account suspension, or worse, account termination.
What to expect in Genshin Impact version 4.5
Chiori is likely to make her first playable appearance. The main event for the 4.5 update looks to be in Mondstat, most likely to be the Windblume event. But, this will be a time for the Fontaine characters to make an appearance too.
