Legends of Runeterra (LOR): Patch 2.0.0 breakdown: All you need to know

Know all about the first patch update of 2021!

Legends of Runeterra (LOR) is starting 2021 with a new Patch update which will be implemented soon in the game. The 2.0.0 patch notes of Legends of Runeterra (LOR) have been revealed, and we know what you can expect for this first update of the year. Although this isn’t a major update, there’s still some pretty much to expect in this update.

Card Updates

Huge nerf to one of the strongest cards in the game! Pack your Bags has been dominating the ranked ladder for weeks now. Raising the mana cost from 1 to 5 is a giant nerf – lots of cards have died from single mana nerf, like Rhasa the Sunderer.

So the question lies – are Pack your Bags decks now dead? It’s important to note that the mana nerf is only to Pack your Bags and not Go Hard. Many players might think the card is dead and might very well be. However, 5 mana to deal 5 to all enemies (including Nexus) is still not bad. We will have to wait and see how this shapes up in the future.

New Lab: United Frost – the first co-op Lab

We have already talked in detail about this new Lab. In this new lab, you and a friend (via friend challenge) or a random person through matchmaking will go up against the AI controlled Noxian forces.

Your decks are randomly generated and depend on the champions you choose at the start. There will also be special co-op cards only available in this mode. Moreover, there will also be two other Labs available to play – Quick Draw and Welcome to the Jungle.

Personalization

Legends of Runeterra Patch 2.0.0

Players will be getting a new Guardian: Ellie in the Legends of Runeterra (LOR) Patch 2.0.0. Probably the most adorable one to date in the game!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue that would cause an error message to be erroneously displayed when casting Judgment while switching blockers.
  • Fixed an issue that could occur with Vault of Helia and units with the Last Breath keyword.
  • An issue where occasionally level 2 Zoe would not share keywords is fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where Heart of the Fluft would sometimes inherit negative keywords.
  • Fixed multiple text inconsistencies across cards text and flyout.

Conclusion

That sums up all of the relevant things coming in LOR Patch 2.0.0. It’s a small patch, but we might be getting a larger balance update relatively soon – maybe will be part of the Aphelios champion release.
