Final Thoughts

Now that PUBG Corporation has decided to no longer authorize the PUBG franchise to Tencent games in India, the gaming community sees it as a smart move by the Korean Company. PUBG Corporation is actively engaged in developing and publishing PUBG Mobile in select territories like PUBG Mobile Korea which is developed by them, the original publishers of PUBG, and is not associated with PUBG Mobile’s global publishers Tencent Games.

This move comes right after Activision parted ways with Tencent for Call of Duty Mobile. Although more than half of Tencent’s game revenue comes from the domestic market, this would definitely be a huge loss for them. What the future holds for them globally is yet to be seen. With FAU-G already announced by n-Core Games set for a late October launch, it is to be seen how soon PUBG Mobile can make a comeback in India after the unban.
