Supercell invests $2.8 million in 2UP, a co-op mobile game studio

2UP might see more developments in the future

Supercell, the developer of Clash of Clans, recently invests $2.8 Million in 2UP, a New Zealand based game studio. The Co-founder of 2UP, Joe Raeburn, thanked Supercell for the huge support to them by the investment. He mentioned that they are proud to be working with one of the best mobile game development companies. Moreover, the Developer Relations Lead of Supercell, Jaakko Harlas, mentioned that it’s going to be their first investment in New Zealand, for which they are highly excited.

After the investment, Jaakko Harlas quoted:

We couldn’t imagine anyone better suited for the task than people as experienced as Joe and Tim. Everything we’ve done at Supercell has shown that the ability to cooperate in games excites and engages players like nothing else and is a key ingredient to building games for the ages.

2UP is a New Zealand based mobile games studio and was co-founded by Joe Raeburn and Tim Knauf. The company is currently hiring people and has opened new opportunities for qualified individuals. Joe Raeburn, on 2UP’s Official website, stated that the hiring process is completely online because of the prevailing conditions due to COVID 19 pandemic. 2UP is basically a remote-studio for Co-op mobile games in Aotearoa, New Zealand which is backed by great advisors and has expertise in their fields.
