Might & Magic: Chess Royale Review

In this Might & Magic: Chess Royale Review, since it is soon available for download on both mobile and PC for free, we will talk about its different mechanics. It’s a fast-paced auto battler with 100 players facing each other and only one coming out on top. It’s set in the known Might & Magic universe, while you perform strategic moves and analyse your enemies. Be ahead of them in Might & Magic: Chess Royale.

A Fast-Paced Auto battler

The basics are the same as from other Auto Chess games. You have a store where you buy your units from. Place them on the field to face the enemies. You can combine units from the same synergy to get bonuses, as well as purchase useful magic spells. Like Mourning Silence, every time one of your units dies, all foes have a 50% chance to suffer from Silence for 2 seconds.

What makes it unique that it’s the first that throws 100 players into a pit to fight each other. What makes it even more awestruck, is that a battle only takes about 10 minutes. But does that hold true?

Yes, it does! In a way at least. On average a match only lasts about 10 minutes, but if you plan to push for the win it might take longer. No game was longer than 20 minutes. Usually, it ranges about 10 to 15 minutes.

Analyse and strategise in Might & Magic: Chess Royale

The game offers 25 units to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. They’re divided into Support, Ranged and Melee DPS, Healer and Tank. Each unit has an Ultimate Ability, from Life Leech to stunning the enemy or dealing massive damage overall.

It’s important to pair the right units together, but also to form synergies and combine them with other synergies as well. The Dragon Synergy grants +40 Mana to nearby allies when the battle starts. Helpful for quick Ultimates.

Especially when you reached the top 10, you might face the same player again. So it’s important to know what the player’s units are and what magic spells they have active. That way you can counterattack those more targeted.

Easy to learn Auto Chess Game

This game has a tutorial when you first start it, which is easy to follow. It also throws you immediately into a match. There is no hand-holding, and mechanics are quick to understand and well explained. You can view each unit on the home screen as well, to get yourself familiarised with them.

Future content?

On their official Discord Server, they have talked about more content to be implemented into the game. Like adding more units into the game. What’s currently missing is the fact, that you are unable to view all available stats. Some stats are hidden, like Crit %, although some synergies increase them. As well as adding more information on the heroes in the shop. Right now all you can view is the avatar, name, synergy and what role it plays.
