Activision Publishing, Inc. has announced that the new DMZ: Recon mode is arriving on their hit battle royale title, Call of Duty: Mobile, on December 12. This tactical extraction mode was initially revealed at Call of Duty NEXT back in September and is soon arriving on your mobile devices.
Experience high-stakes extraction gameplay with the new mode
CODM fans are going to eat well because the new DMZ: Recon mode lets you dive into a tactical extraction experience on the new Serpent Island map. Here, you can take on contracts, outplay enemy squads and hostiles, and also extract their loot to enhance your kit with every successful run.
Now, for some context, DMZ: Recon is based on the popular DMZ mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone. If you’ve played it before, you must know how fun it actually is. And, while COD Warzone Mobile may have shut down on May 18, you can now experience it on CODM.
Gameplay-wise, it is a PvPvE extraction-based mode where you infiltrate the Serpent Island map, gather valuable loot, and clear your objectives before attempting a successful escape. However, it soon gets intense, as dying before extraction simply means you lose everything, so the competition is tough.
The new trailer also looks very impressive, and it seems like CODM has properly implemented everything correct way. And I can’t wait to hop in on December 12, as it brings back fond memories of the COVID days when I used to grind Warzone with my friends. I want to relive that moment again, now on mobile.
