Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Phase 2 banners will go live from December 23, 2025, to January 13, 2025. The Phase 2 banners will feature two re-run characters in a dual banner.

Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others.
Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.
1. Xilonen
Xilonen is a 5-star Geo Sword character in Genshin Impact. Her gameplay centers around her Elemental Skill, which features the Nightsoul mechanic. She is a full-fledged support character who provides various buffs based on her team’s elemental composition. Xilonen is very helpful for exploration. After using her skill, she transforms into a Leopard Spirit, which helps her to climb walls or mountains easily.
Her skill not only helps in exploration, but it can also reduce three different types of elemental resistance by 35%. Her Elemental Burst heals your on-field character, and if you use her with the Scroll of the Heroes of Cinder City artifacts, she can also provide a 40% elemental damage bonus. She scales on Defence, so building her is extremely easy.
2. Varesa
Varesa is a 5-star Electro Catalyst character in Genshin Impact with a unique plunge-focused playstyle, offering solid damage output. Her skill also helps you in exploration. At first, you have to understand what your account requires right now because Xilonen is a support character who increases your main DPS damage, and Varesa is an on-field DPS who deals massive damage. If your account needs an Electro DPS right now, then pull Varesa, but if you already have a DPS and want to increase your DPS damage, then pull Xilonen.
2. Investment
Like every DPS, Varesa also needs a huge investment. She needs a Proper team, Crit Build, nice weapon. On the other side, building Xilonen is too easy; just give her defence and Energy Recharge as much as you can, and your Xilonen build is done. If you already have DPS and don’t want to spend that many resources, then go for Xilonen; she can increase your DPS damage with the least investment.
3. Competition
Xilonen doesn’t have any competition right now that can reduce 3 elements at the same time like her and can also heal the character. We have 4 Electro 5-star DPS in Genshin Impact, right now, but Varesa already has Powercreep 2 Electro DPS, and only Flins can compete with Varesa’s damage output.
But Columbina will come in 6.3, who will buff Flins, and there is a chance that Flin’s premium team will beat Varesa’s premium team in damage output. Before Flin’s team’s damage comes out, don’t pull Varesa if you want a strong Electro DPS.
