PUBG Mobile Showdown 2023: Korea vs Japan featured the top eight teams from each of the countries going against each other for a slot in the upcoming PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI). The tournament featured big teams from both of the countries including DUKSAN Esports, Sengoku Gaming, Reject, DONUTS VARREL, Dplus, Eagle Owls, and more.
The tournament witnessed domination from the Korean teams from the first day. Korean team Dplus showed a valiant performance on the first day of the tournament. Champions DONUTS VARREL was the only Japanese team who looked good on the first day of the showdown.
The start of the final day was not so pleasant for DONUTS VARREL as they came in 14th position in the first match of the day, putting Dplus ahead in the competition. However, the team maintained a firm consistency in the other matches on the final day and became the champions with 109 pts. Dplus became the runners-up of the tournament with 107 pts. Korean team Nonshing RedForce became the second runners-up with 100 pts.
