ESL Mobile Open 2021 to feature 7 mobile esports titles including PUBG Mobile and Wild Rift

If you’re waiting for a signal to start gathering people for your team, that’s it. ESL has published on their twitter their next steps for their global Esports tournament, ESL Mobile Open 2021, which features 7 major mobile gaming titles for the competitive scenario, which features the likes of Wild Rift, PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 . the events will be divided into North America, Europe & Middle East North Africa and the Asia Pacific. Each region will have its specific games to its circuit, but will all be held under ESL branding.

Tournament Rules & Format

Brawl Stars

• Game – is one game played on pre-selected Modes and maps.
• Set – is a Best of 3 or Best of 5 played on one of the following modes of play available in Brawl Stars:
  • Siege
  • Bounty
  • Gem Grab
  • Heist
  • Brawl Ball
  • Hot Zone
• Match  – depending on the Round of the tournament, a match will be a Best of 1, Best of 3 or a Best of 5 of Sets. During the Open Ladders, all sets consist of a Best of 3 games.

All teams must participate in at least 10 ladder matches in order to qualify for the play-ins and prizes for the season. Any team that does not play at least 10 matches will be removed from their qualifying spot and all teams below them will shift up 1 spot each to fill the hole they’ve left from disqualification. PUBG Mobile

Format

• SQUAD
• 4 players per team with 1 sub allowed per team.
• Teams are allowed to play and finish 1 live match, per match day, with 3 players.
• Teams must have full rosters that legally reside and participate from either the US, Canada, Mexico, or Puerto Rico.

Host

• Lobby name and Password will be published in your match lobby here on the tournament pages, accessible through the tournament widget on the right side when matches are created. They will also be published in each group discord channel.
• Server region: Specific Region
• Game mode: Third Person Perspective

Maps

• Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, & Vikendi
• All matches will play under the weather conditions that spawn.

Map Settings

• No Red zone
• No flare gun
• 2x All Weapons
• 2x Magazines & Scopes

Clash of Clans

• Tournament Format: Ladder, Best of One. Matches in this ladder can be played every Monday – Wednesday, via the Instant Challenger option.
• Team lineup: Only those players are eligible to take part in the Friendly War, who are part of the same ESL Play team.
• War Invitations: The team on the left side of the matching page has the right to host the game and send an invitation to a 5v5 Friendly War to the opposing team.
  • In case a team on the right side does not receive an invitation, they must initiate the invitation
  • In case the invitation is not being accepted, the team on the right side is obliged to fill a protest ticket
• Participating teams must allow observers and casters into their clans if requested.

Preparation and War Time

• Preparation time: 5 min
• War time: 1 hour
• If a team is not present and ready to start playing 15 minutes after the scheduled time, that team will get a default loss.

ESL Mobile Open 2021: Regions

The ESL Mobile Open 2021 will be open to 80 eligible countries spanning three regions including North America, Europe/MENA, and Asia-Pacific. ESL has also partnered with top games publishers and developers Gameloft, Riot, Supercell, and Tencent for this competition.
