Fortnite has finally revealed its most popular competitive event next year, the FNCS 2026. On the stage of the just-concluded FNCS Global Championship 2025, the title also revealed some electrifying updates on the next year’s plan.
For the first time, Fortnite is coming with a mobile tournament to FNCS starting from 2026. The recent comeback to the iOS stores in several regions has prompted the game to do so. The battle royale, though, didn’t share much except for the names. However, fans won’t forget to enjoy the action-packed fights in the upcoming esports tournament.
Fortnite’s return in the App store worked as a booster to initiate mobile tournaments
The 2026 FNCS will bring back DUOS. Before the grand final match of FNCS 2025, Fortnite shared a lineup of events coming next year. Along with the regular events, it revealed three new tournaments: FNCS Mid-Season LAN, Reload Elite Series LAN, and a Mobile Series with a huge prize pool of $1 million.
The Mid-Season LAN will return to Europe with the series. But the most surprising and awaited announcement was for the mobile players. Fortnite plans to host a Mobile Series to celebrate the return of the game to iOS this year. The event will share a whopping amount of $1 million for the participants. However, we do not know the details yet.
The FNCS 2026 will come redefined as Epic is working on Ranked 2.0, and it will be played in tournaments from the coming year. Inclusion of the cheered Pro-Am tournament is yet another significant step for the game.

Fortnite had to go through a long battle regarding the app store issues. Though those events are quite solved, now is the time for the game to break the esports scene quickly. Given that the mobile scene has a strong presence in esports, this is going to be one of the best decisions from the officials.
