KRAFTON India has officially announced its Esports Roadmap for 2026 for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The roadmap will feature expanded editions of KRAFTON India’s major esports tournaments, namely BGIS, BMPS, BMSD, and BMIC, and is set to take place across multiple cities next year.
Besides the BGMI Esports 2026 Roadmap, the KRAFTON India Awards program was revealed
The announcement was made by Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, at the BGMI International Cup 2025 held in New Delhi, India. The overview of the events for the hit battle royale title, as per the roadmap, is as follows:

In addition, the company announced the launch of the KRAFTON India Awards, a new annual event to celebrate top players, creators, and teams in the Indian gaming scene. The first edition will be held in Mumbai on January 9, 2026.
Noting the 2026 Roadmap as “more than a tournament calendar”, Sean Hyunil Sohn said: “The 2026 Roadmap is a structured pathway for Indian gamers to rise from grassroots to the global podium. We have designed it with an intent to further the ecosystem: one that identifies emerging talent at the regional level, nurtures them through national competition, and gives them a chance to represent India internationally.”
Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said: “We want to give every player, from underdogs to champions, a platform to showcase their skill and represent India on the global stage. Through our expanded tournament circuit, we’re creating more opportunities, more recognition, and more pathways for Indian esports to grow, evolve, and shine internationally.”

Over the past year, India’s esports scene has seen massive growth. What started as small online tournaments has turned into stadium-scale events with huge crowds and international broadcasts. In 2025 alone, KRAFTON India’s tournaments offered a combined prize pool of over ₹4 crore ($450,000).
