Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has heard the plea of fans in Myanmar. And so, MOONTON
Games have announced the Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1. The inaugural esports event will be the country’s first-ever professional league for MLBB. It will kick off in March 2025 with 10 participant teams.
While the country was missing a top-tier league for a long time, MOONTON finally came up with the issue and solved it. In doing so, it partnered with Game Cast Network (GCN).
Mobile Legends Super League (MSL) Myanmar Season 1: Schedule and Format
The tournament will kick off on the very first day of March 2025. It will feature two stages of MOBA action on the run, before it ends on the 8th of June 2025. Now, the first stage is going to be the Regular Season, scheduled to kick off on the initial day.
It will be a single round-robin and all the matches will follow a BO3 format. The top 6 will advance to the playoffs. The Playoff stage will follow a hybrid elimination format where the 3rd to 6th-seeded teams compete in Round 1. This will be played in a single elimination bracket.
On the other hand, the 1st and 2nd seeded teams will receive a round bye and will start in Round 2. This will be played in a double-elimination format. All the matches for the Playoff will be BO5, except for the Grand Finals which will be a BO7.
Participating Teams
The event will showcase 10 contenders, among which 6 of the teams are invited. The rest of the teams will come from the Qualifier event. Though the tournament is knocking at the doorstep, we do not know the names so far. However, we will update this article with the names after they’re announced.
Prize Pool
The event will feature a decent amount as the prize pool for the inaugural season. A total of K40,000,000 (about $19,100) will be given to the participants based on their rankings after the end of the event. But the most lucrative reward is that it will send the champion team directly to the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025.
The distribution of prize money is yet to be announced.

Apart from the prizes for each team, the event will also disburse some amount for players who perform exceptionally. There will be recognition awards for the players from each role, and they’ll receive some individual rewards as well.

Just a couple of months ago, Falcon Esports Coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B.Cruz pleaded with the MOONTON officials to bring back the MPL Myanmar. On that stage of the M6 World Championship, the coach’s words touched everyone’s heart. Being home to some of the rising teams in the MLBB esports scene, Myanmar has a good future. But unfortunately, the professional league for Myanmar stopped after being hosted 5 times.
As the new event is announced, it will be the top-tier tournament for the pro teams in Myanmar, serving the same as MPL.
