The Pokémon UNITE World Championship Series will return to India with a much larger format and greater stakes in 2023. Indian teams competing in the three-month competition will receive $75,000 in prize money. Additionally, it will choose the two teams that will compete for their nation in the $500,000 Pokémon UNITE World Championship in Japan in 2023.
Pokémon UNITE World Championship Series 2023 India Qualifiers will see team competing across three competitions
The India Qualifier will have an open-to-all structure and run from April to June. They are split between the April Qualifier, May Qualifier, and the Last Chance Qualifier. The eight teams that will compete in the India Playoffs, where two spots at the World Championship in Japan are up for grabs, will be chosen from these three contests. The registrations are now live on the official website.
The two-day qualifiers in April and May will feature up to 256 teams from across the nation competing. Each qualifier’s best three teams will advance to the regional playoffs. The final two teams competing in the India Playoffs will be decided by the LCQ.

There will be a total of $18,750 up for grabs in the April and May qualifiers. On the other side, the India Playoffs will pay out $37,500. The entire competition will be played online. So coaches, fasten your seatbelts because a lot is at stake! The schedule is as follows:
- April Qualifier: April 15 and 16
- May Qualifier: May 20 and 21
- Last-Chance Qualifier: June 3
- Regional Playoffs (India): June 4
