On the stage of PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025, the game came up with something exciting. By not making the fans wait longer, PUBG Mobile has announced the esports roadmap for 2026. The upcoming year will bring a new and revamped system to the new global pathways to glory.

The upcoming season will feature a renewed tournament structure, broader global accessibility, and another strong lineup of major international events. James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, is the one behind all the announcements.

PUBG MOBILE Esports roadmap 2026: A year packed with events

Most of the events we’re going to get in the next year include two full seasons of the PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO). Besides, expanded qualification routes for both amateur and professional teams, the return of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, and new details on the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) were also announced.

The recent success of PMGC 2025, which brings back the golden days of the game by increasing the overall viewership, has made the developers and organizers take the competition to the next level.

Besides the esports events, several ecosystem upgrades for 2026 are coming. This includes a streamlined in-game participation system, an enhanced offline fan experience at global events, and easier registration tools for third-party tournament organisers.

Two PMGOs, mid-season PMWC, and year finale PMGC will be the center of attraction

One of the very first developments is that PMGO will have two seasons. The game is taking a shift from the previous Super League structure to adopt an inclusive system where doors to both amateur and professional teams will be open.

There will be an overwhelming number of national events. Across eight regions, 30+ PUBG MOBILE National Championships will take place. These events will seed teams into the regional qualifiers, determining which teams advance into the PMGO Seasons. These events will also seed teams to the PMGC 2026, which will take place in Turkey with a $3,000,000 prize pool.

The first stage, as you already know, PMGO Season 1 will be hosted in Southeast Asia with a prize pool of $500,000. The PMGO Season 2 will take the global spotlight to Pakistan for the first time, with $500,000 prize pool and additional qualification opportunities. The mid-season will experience the Esports World Cup with the 2026 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) in Riyadh with a prize pool of $3,000,000.

With a strengthened competitive structure, more global opportunities, and investors, PUBG Mobile is ready to light up the next year, 2026, with the esports roadmap. Stay with us to receive future updates about the exciting game.
