Summoners War has launched the esports season this year. The Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2025 will be taking place in Paris as the grand saga, while regional events will take place throughout the year. Hosted by Com2uS, the RPG title has laid down its roadmap and event details for the community and fans.
Ahead of the grand events of the game, there will be qualifier rounds, preliminaries, and world finals. This article will give you an overview of what is coming ahead this year.
Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2025: Format and Schedule
The participant players will be selected based on their ranking for each season. So, the game made it clear that players interested in joining the event must participate in the ongoing seasons to compete in the world league. Now, the event will start with the application period, from the 4th to the 30th of June 2025.
However, the actual run will start when the game selects preliminary players for each region. This will take place between early and mid-July. While the detailed schedule is yet to be announced, here’s what the overview of the schedule looks like:
The event will span five regions before culminating in a grand final in Paris, France. In the regional preliminaries, all matches are played in a BO5 format under a double-elimination tournament. For the regional cups, the Europe Cup will take place online while the Americas Cup will take place in São Paolo, Brazil, and the Asia-Pacific Cup in Busan, South Korea.
All Regional Cups are played in a BO5 format under a single-elimination quarterfinals tournament. The winner, runner-up, and 3rd place player of each cup will advance to the World Finals held in Paris, France. The Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2025 World Finals will be a single-elimination tournament. All matches are played in a BO5 format, except for the final, which is played in a BO7 format.
Teams are locking in for grand finals as regional events are concluding
As mentioned before, all the regional stage fights will meet at an ultimate point for the grand finals. The Americas Regional Cup, the title’s first-ever held in South America, electrified the fans with a champion, RAIGEKI. With this one in his showcase, he becomes the two-time winner in the last three events. On his way to win the trophy, he defeated ZEZAS. Apart from these two finalists, PANDALIK3 also won a ticket to the global finals.
Prize Pool
The total prize pool of the event is 216,000 USD, and 12 World Finalists will receive prize money and in-game rewards. The SWC2025 World Champion will receive the SWC2025 Trophy and a medal, while the 2nd and 3rd place (tied) players will receive a medal.
