Town Hall 18 is here, and Clash of Clans just jumped into a whole new level of busy feeling, and in a good way. With new defense, a new spell, and also a new troop, things have gotten interesting, and there’s a lot to think about, especially when it comes to planning the best Town Hall 18 War and Farming Attack Strategies in Clash of Clans.
So in this guide, I’ll break down the best CoC war and farming attack strategies for TH18 in a simple way, making it easier for you to decide what to use and when to use it.
Best War Strategies for Town Hall 18 in Clash of Clans
1. Dragons + Totem Combo
Well, the new spell definitely needs to be included somewhere since it is a strong arrival, and a combination with the Dragons seems to be the way to go. The idea is to create a small funnel on both sides using your heroes so the Dragons stay in the middle.
Once the funnel is set, all the Dragons are placed together with the Warden and Stone Slammer as the Siege pick, so they enter the core in one straight line. Totem Spells are the main reason this attack works, hence no replacing them.
They pull defensive fire away from your troops and survive long enough for the Dragons to clear buildings without taking heavy damage. The Warden ability is saved for the biggest group of defenses. It is pretty easy as well; all you need to work on is creating the opening.
3. Meteor Golem + Queen Walk
Another permanent arrival in Meteor Golem, so we use him in our attack combo, but with something that has helped bring some good results in attacks, the Queen Walk. Many recommend this as it is one of the strongest yet easiest strategies right now because everything revolves around making the pathing for your main push.
The idea is to use your Queen Walk to clean up the major obstacles and then create an opening. Once that’s done, bring in your King and the rest of your army to force everything into the gap you’ve created. Widen the gap, and deploy Meteor Golem at the right time to protect the heroes from taking further damage.
3. Super Yeti Attack strategy
Super Yeti in TH18 seems to be a blockbuster strategy, and here’s one that you can test out. So you can try out two variants of it. One is straightforward, Super Yetis, around five of them, and a Warden or a Queen walk depending on what you like, and then to create an opening to send the Super Yetis in.
Another strategy is involving Meteor Golems again, at the expense of the Healers. A small funnel using two Yetis on each side alongside the Log Launcher, which is recommended, before you drop your Super version and the Meteor Golems to clear the rest of the base.
In both versions, though, you are using the same spell combo, Totem spells, and Invisibility spells. Totem Spells are placed in front of the army whenever major defenses begin targeting the troops, while Invisibility is used either to protect the Heroes or to help the main push survive, depending on how the attack is going.
Best Farming Strategies for Town Hall 18 in Clash of Clans
Farming is the non-ranked battles strategy, and our only intention is to loot. Right now, we have been following a few strategies even before TH18 released in CoC, so here’s farming made simple with some different mix of troops.
1. Sneaky Goblin Farming Strategy
If you’re looking for the biggest loot per attack, Sneaky Goblins are still the most reliable farming option in the game. The idea is simple: you drop them on every mine, pump, drill, and storage, open compartments using Super Wall Breakers or Jump Spells, and let the goblins steal all the available resources.
You don’t need any heroes for this, which makes it perfect when they’re upgrading. The only thing you need to be patient with is searching for bases, because sometimes it takes a few skips to find good loot. But once you’re inside the attack, you can steal almost everything safely and walk away with massive gold and elixir in a single raid.
2. Mass Valkyrie + Earthquakes
This has been a curious case, as many creators have also been suggesting this. Just Valkies and the quakes to open up the bases, and done. You drop your Valkyries instantly in a circle around the base, open up key spots using Earthquake spells, and let the troops clear enough buildings to secure the league win bonus.
This strategy is strongest in higher leagues like Dragon, Titan, and even Legends because the bonus is huge and gives you more loot per hour than almost any other farming method. There is also another method that some players use, the half-troop deployment strategy with Valks themselves.
The entire strategy revolves around abusing the high league bonus that we are offered. Once you follow the strategy by dropping minimal troops, let your heroes push you straight to that 50% mark. As soon as you hit it, you exit the battle and jump right into the next one. You save troops and push attacks quickly.
3. Air Trio Farming strategy
Another fun and easy-to-use farming strategy for TH18 in CoC. This farming strategy uses Dragon Riders, Balloons, and Electro Dragons, so I name it the Air Trio since there isn’t an exact name for it. You can either create a funnel with your heroes or directly drop these troops, depending on how you feel.
Dragon Riders soak up most of the damage, while Electro Dragons chain through buildings and free loot behind them. Even with a rough funnel, the troops usually break into the storage and collectors without much trouble.
