Dracula City Master: Idle Army Beginners Guide and Tips

Lead your own vampire army on a quest to conquer the world!

Developed by Tilting Point, Dracula City Master: Idle Army is a new idle tower defense game with a horror twist to it in the form of vampires. The goal of the game is to build your own army of vampires and overrun villages with the objective of completely and utterly dominating the world. Here in this beginners guide, we will offer help to get you started on Dracula City Master: Idle Army and then make your way further into the game.

Gameplay Overview

The game is as simple as it looks to an average person. There are no complex elements or mechanics in the game which makes it easy to play and pick up even for someone who rarely plays games or none at all. All these make Dracula City Master a good candidate for time-killing games.

What sets Dracula City Master apart from other tower defense games is that the roles are reversed in this game, that is, you are the one ransacking and attacking while the in-game people are the ones defending their villages against you.

Introducing the Basics of Dracula City Master: Idle Army

Each stage of the game features a village setting with residents who are geared up and ready to defend their settlement from your horde of vampires. As you progress through the levels in the game, the number of defenders per village will increase and they will begin to adapt to different formations to ward off attacks. The settlements also become more intricate with the fortifications getting stronger at every level.

All you need to do as a player is to spawn zombies at strategic points to try and overpower the defenders and eventually take control of the area. To do that and win, you need to either convert all the defenders to zombies and make them a part of your zombie horde or kill them. When there are zero healthy defenders left, you will be granted the win.

Unlocking Thralls and Dracula

Thralls are an important resource in Dracula City Master, but it has to be unlocked as it is not available to all players by default. With each defender killed, players earn Thralls which could be further used for exclusive upgrades.

But in order to unlock this resource, one has to build the Dark Crypt structure first. Dark Crypt is unlocked in Chapter 1 and players can thereafter use Souls to construct this structure. It could be further upgraded at the cost of more Souls to gain access to more upgrades.

Meanwhile, to unlock Dracula, you have to construct the Ancient Sarcophagus in the same way as you did with the Dark Crypt. It will give rise to Dracula, who will act as a Boss but in your favor. He has heightened speed and damage much like the Westchester’s of the defenders’ party.

Understanding the in-game Resources

Earning Resources

The quickest way to earn resources is to simply watch by watching ads when they pop up on the right-hand side of the game screen.

The short ads give rewards in a multitude that is unseen in other games. Each ad gives players more than what they will earn by playing one regular level. Blood is given away in thousands, with Thralls and Souls being given in hundreds. The only exception is True Blood, which retains its position as the most elite resource that players have to work hard to obtain.

Upgrading your Resources

Dracula City Master offers more than one type of currency that could be earned in the game by playing through the levels. Each currency comes with its own set of upgrades which a player can utilize to make themselves a force to be reckoned with and make the overall difficulty of the game much lower. Let us take a look at the set of upgrades that the game has to offer for each currency:

1. Blood

Blood is by far the most abundant resource in Dracula City Master and the upgrades it offers are therefore pretty easy to come by if you play the game for enough time. The Like Leather upgrade could be said to be the most useful from the set due to it ramping up the health of the vampires which is already very high when compared to the defenders, to begin with. It enables one single vampire to take up to 3 defenders all by himself.

Meanwhile, the Bloodthirst upgrade compensates for the slow attack speed of the vampires by making each of their attacks more potent. Combined with Like Leather, this upgrade makes the vampires mini tanks that are hard to take down. But the most powerful upgrade is undoubtedly the Your Life Is Mine! one, as it infects the defenders and turns them into vampires and thus increasing the size of your horde for free and making the assault deadlier.

2. Souls

Souls are earned by killing the defenders or by turning them into vampires as well. It is a good indicator of how much damage you are dealing with to the defenders and their fortifications. Unlike Blood upgrades, which directly affect the physicality of the vampires, Soul upgrades affect other miscellaneous features. The Energy Rush upgrade is extremely crucial as it increases the amount of energy gained per second which makes the player able to spawn vampires more rapidly.

Primal Reflexes increase the speed of the vampires which is crucial because as it is the game is very slow and this upgrade increases the pace of the game and the levels do not last as long. Blood Harvest meanwhile increases your capacity to store Blood which helps you to upgrade the vampires more.

3. True Blood

True Blood is by far the hardest-to-acquire resource in the game which makes the rather tempting upgrades very hard to obtain. Each True Blood upgrade is aimed at making the game economy more efficient and cheap.

But again, the issue lies in the fact that the upgrades themselves are expensive, to say the least. But the grind is surely worth it because the upgrades are very helpful and instantly affect the gameplay in a positive way.

Conclusion
