The Epic packs in eFootball 2026 just keep coming, and this time, KONAMI has dropped the Spanish League Guardians pack. Featuring Lilian Thuram, Iker Casillas, and Edmilson, and once again seeing a defensive pack just seems brilliant.
A trio with different strengths and positions, but the real question is, are they worth spending your coins on? Let me drop my review of the cards and explain the details.
eFootball 2026 Epic Spanish League Guardians Players
Lilian Thuram
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Show Time Skill: Aerial Fort and Fortress
Thuram plays like a bulldozer; nothing explains it better. Oh boy, I had a hard time facing players who had him and knew how to use him. He feels like a mix of raw aggression and speed, which makes him a nightmare for attackers.
Now, he gets an even better “playable” playstyle at CB, the Destroyer. Unlike the previous card we got, which is still one of the best in the game, this card can’t be played RB, but is a solid upgrade at CB. Those pace and acceleration numbers are best among defenders; he shuts down any player instantly.

While his physicality allows him to body players and still stay balanced, here’s a nice catch I observed: this card doesn’t have the stamina to last a full 90. Maybe I pressed too hard, but definitely not the highest.
But this doesn’t take away from the fact that Thuram might be one of the best defenders in the game right now. I would put my vote for the newest Nesta, as he’s the more complete out of the two; the Long-Range Tackle is still the best defending skill.
Iker Casillas
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
- Show Time Skill: GK Directing Defence
Casillas is a card that people have mixed opinions on. Since his height and physical stats aren’t that great in comparison with the taller ones, many players have been skeptical about this card, but this proves them wrong.

His reflexes are top-notch, and close-range saves seem like an improvement compared to his older cards. He has that quick spring off the line, and he feels very natural in positioning, which means he doesn’t get caught out often.
Yes, there’s no denying you might feel him giving away those curler goals, but he makes up for it with reaction time. His diving saves feel sharp, and he reacts to low shots incredibly well. They have brought in a good card with this one.
Edmílson
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Anchor Man
- Show Time Skill: Long-reach Tackle and Fortress
Edmilson is the underrated piece of this pack. He is not flashy, somewhat like Busquets, but he does the dirty work in midfield with incredible efficiency. Sitting deep as an Anchor Man, he screens the defence, cuts passing lanes, and steps in with sharp tackles.

There are a lot of fans from his older card, which is still a strong CB option for many. This is better as a DMF for me, although at CB, the overall numbers do pump up for that position. His passing is tidy enough to keep the play moving, but don’t expect him to spray very accurate through balls.
Defensively, though, he’s a menace. He sticks tight to opponents, presses hard, and seems to always get a foot in at the right time. Heading skill is something you shouldn’t miss out on, and for the creative side, Through Passing is a good addition.
Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Spanish League Guardians players
I have gone for this pack, and I see good value with it, although I would have loved skipping Casillas since I already have his old Madrid version. Thuram is the standout here, one of the best cards, and if he got Long Range Tackle, he might be fighting for that #1 spot.
Pack Rating: 4 out of 5
