eFootball 2026 “Mid Season MVPs” January 2026 Nominating Contract Review

The pick from the eight?

eFootball 2026 has begun the year with some new players, and among them comes the “Mid Season MVPs” Nominating Contract this January 2026. The picks don’t seem very interesting at first glance, but if you have some contracts remaining, let me help you make your choice in this review.

eFootball 2026 “Mid Season MVPs” January 2026 NC players listed

Declan Rice

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Box-to-Box

Rice looks like the safest and most complete pick from this list. He fits the modern Box-to-Box profile almost perfectly, offering strong defensive numbers while still being comfortable on the ball. Passing stats are his strengths when you give him an autobuild.

Dribbling numbers all over 85, he was always comfortable on the ball. Other aspects are good; he makes sure he is an all-around B2B card. His stamina, balance, and defensive engagement suggest he’ll stay effective throughout the match on the defensive side as well.

Nico Schlotterbeck

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up

Schlotterbeck looks like a very solid Build Up centre-back on paper. Defensive awareness, engagement, and tackling numbers are all high, which already tells you what kind of defender he is going to be. Tall frame and strong physical contact, so cross spammers might have a hard time scoring against him.

On the ball, he’s nothing special, but he doesn’t need to be. Passing is serviceable for a CB, and pace is decent enough to hold a line. Good positioning helps him to not depend on speed much.

Moisés Caicedo

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Box-to-Box

Another midfield card in this selection, Caicedo gets a solid card. His defensive stats are very high, and combined with strong stamina and pace, he is built pretty well. If you want him as a DMF, his tackling, engagement, and aggression are his biggest strengths.

On the ball, he looks to be a card you can be confident about. Dribbling and passing are good enough to avoid being a liability in build-up play. However, this changes if you want him as a CMF, which I feel is better suited for him.

Granit Xhaka

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator

Xhaka looks exactly like how you’d expect an Orchestrator to play. His low and lofted passing numbers stand out with skills backing them up, even without an autobuild. Dribbling is good too, and on the defensive side, he isn’t spectacular but has decent numbers without any skills.

Mile Svilar

  • Position: GK
  • Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper

Svilar looks like a fairly balanced goalkeeper card. Reflexes, reach, and parrying are all decent, and the Offensive GK playstyle is a good shout. That said, he doesn’t look like a game-changing keeper. Nothing really stands out; even those major stats go above 90.

Álvaro Carreras

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Wingback

Carreras looks like a very attack-oriented fullback. His pace, acceleration, and stamina are the first things that stand out. On the ball and passing numbers are just above 80, which can be worked with. Defensively, he’s okay, with Awareness and tackling being decent. Again, nothing special.

Ayase Ueda

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher

I’ve always liked this card. I still have his old 93-OVR card. Ueda here gets good offensive awareness and finishing, not great, mind you. Outside of that role, he’s limited. Passing is abysmal, and dribbling is just okay. Number-wise, I don’t see anything, but surely he’s more than what his stats suggest.

Igor Thiago

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Target Man

Igor Thiago is a proper Target Man profile, but again, this is another card that doesn’t really stand out in the current power curve. A physical striker on offer, with finishing being decent, but not at a level that makes him feel threatening on his own.

On the ball, he’s limited, which is expected. Dribbling and tight possession are average, and passing won’t help much either. With so many strikers now offering 90+ stats, I don’t see any worth in this one.
