I’m pretty sure Link Up for Managers in eFootball 2026 is something that has seen the curious side of the players since they can have some interesting combinations to make their formations click. One such manager who is available in eFootball 2026 is Ruben Amorim.
If you started playing from eFootball 2026’s very first season, you might have him in your accounts, since at the time of writing, he is the one and only free manager we have. Now, let me review Ruben Amorim in this guide and give him my thoughts on how to get the best out of him in eFootball 2026.
eFootball 2026 Ruben Amorim Manager Guide: Introduction
A free addition was a big welcome here, with an Out Wide proficiency of 89; he brings a natural knack for crosses and link-up play. His signature Link-up tactic, Aggressive Centring A, focuses on creating scoring chances from wide positions.

His system revolves around a Centrepiece who controls the ball in the wide midfield (LMF/RMF) and a Key Man (Fox in the Box/CF) who positions perfectly to finish those crosses. Amorim also comes with a double boost of +1 for Physical Contact and Lofted Pass, two really good boosters if you ask me.
Best formations using Ruben Amorim in eFootball 2026
I have two formations that will come in handy if you are using Ruben Amorim in eFootball 2026, since he only excels in that playing style.
1) 4-1-3-2
You can set up a more aggressive attacking formation here, depending on how you do it. But my setup has worked very well for me, even though there isn’t a Goal Poacher to help things. I have one holding midfielder, who can be an Anchor Man or Orchestrator alongside your usual defensive combination.

At CMF, which also can be an AMF if you need more offense, I have someone who has the best of both worlds. He is the point of distribution, and at the wings, you can either have a Roaming Flank or another Cross Specialist, while the focus will be on the top 2.
I use a Hole Player + FITB combo; the former works awesome to drop into the space the defense creates, and even a Dummy Runner can come in handy. The crossing option is available with this, and FITB can poach for the goal.
2) 4-4-2
Classic Manchester United formation, a good balance between your attack and defense, while also not being too harsh on your tactics. With four midfielders, including one wide Cross Specialist, you can stretch defenses and create natural crossing lanes.

The FITB acts as the Key Man who makes intelligent runs to finish crosses, while the Goal Poacher will make runs consistently. The formation also allows quick link-ups across the midfield if the crosses aren’t immediately available, which I again prefer an Anchor Man + Box-to-Box double pivot.
Player Recommendations and Key Stats
Centrepiece (Cross Specialist/LMF, RMF)
For the Centrepiece role, the perfect fit is a wide midfielder who can control the ball and deliver precise crosses. High Lofted Pass numbers are a must, which I feel should be above 85, while decent Speed and Balance help exploit space and link up effectively.
I prefer not having the Track Back skill on this guy, because you need him for attack. Dribbling, most of these RMFs already have it high, so that’s not a worry. Right-footed player at RMF and a Left-footed player at LMF should be something to note.
Recommended Skills: One Touch Pass, Pinpoint Crossing, Outside Curler
Key Man (Fox in the Box/CF)
Without a doubt, high awareness is a must. Some FITBs are not really good at positioning because of a lack of awareness, so here, your card must have a 92+ range, and acceleration is also handy to burst into the scene quickly.
The aerial game is maximum, so have a tall striker. If you don’t, that’s fine, because my Puskas isn’t a tall striker either, but he is good at winning headers. Have 80+ heading and jump numbers for your striker, and Physical Contact somewhat in the same range.
Recommended Skills: Heading, Aerial Superiority, Fighting Spirit
