Fortnite introduces the use of Payphones in Season 7 which will help in obtaining all the quests and challenges. This mainly avoids the cumbersome face-to-face interaction one has to do earlier in the game. The Payphone provides players with 4 different quests choices varying in difficulty and rewards. Payphones are the best way to earn gold bars from the game in Season 7. Earlier in Fortnite, players used to get all the in-game challenges in the form of an NPC character. The NPC characters in the map would provide the player with a particular quest or challenge, upon completing the task the players would be rewarded with gold bars according to the difficulty of the task. These gold bars can be used to purchase certain items from the NPC Characters. Here are all of the Fortnite Payphone locations where you can find them in the game.
All the Payphone locations in Fortnite Season 7
Below is the map of all the Fortnite Payphone locations in the current Season 7. There are currently 15 different Payphone locations spread throughout the map of Fortnite. Each payphone will have different sets of challenges, different from one another, and have a different set of challenges. Players can only participate in one challenge accepted from a Payphone at a time.
- One Payphone at (Holly Hedges, Slurpy Swamp, Pleasant Park, Believer Beach, Corny Complex)
- Two Payphones at (Misty Meadows, Catty Corner, Retail Row, Steamy Stacks, Craggy Cliffs)
How useful are Payphones in Fortnite Season 7
Not only Payphones are useful in obtaining the gold bars but also used to complete all the legendary quest line. For example, every legendary quest line starts with players accepting orders from Dr. Slone. The First in that legendary quest line will be only completed if you find and locate a Payphone. If you don’t complete the initial mission of Dr. Slone will shoot any players or vehicles on sight at Corny Complex.
Players also need to remember that the challenges only provide them with gold bars and won’t gain any XP unless or until it is a part of the Legendary Quest line. The challenges obtained from the Payphone also have a time limit on it, some challenges may be valid till 60 minutes while others may be applicable for that particular match.
