With the beginning of Chapter 2 Season 7, the developers of Fortnite have once again added the Weapons upgrade Bench at the request of its wide community. This Bench weapon upgrade facility comes in place of the old Weapons upgrade which was enabled throughout the many NPC spread across the map. With this addition, there are currently two forms of weapon upgrading systems right now in Fortnite season 7. Here’s where every Weapon Upgrade Bench locations are and how players can upgrade their weapons in Fortnite.
Back in Fortnite season 5, the developers disposed of the bench system for weapon upgrades and integrated the weapon upgrades with the new gold bar system. Moreover, in season 6, the developers further added another way to upgrade weapons during a game in the form of the crafting system.
All the Weapon Upgrade Bench locations in Fortnite Season 7
The map below shows all of the Fortnite weapon upgrade benches locations on the island. Generally, you will find the Fortnite upgrade benches inside buildings rather than out in the open. But once you get close you’ll be able to see the little up arrow icon through any walls or other barriers so you hone in on the exact location.
Players who wish to upgrade their current weapons can either rotate or land at the following locations on the map:
- Camp Cod
- Hydro 16
- Shanty Town
- Durr Burger
- Viking Vessel
- Crashes Cargo
- Believers Beach
- Lockie’s Lighthouse
- Craggy Cliffs
- Risky Reels

How to Upgrade weapons in Fortnite Season 7
Fortnite has already reduced the vast number of NPC characters available on the map to a meager few available now. Along with that they also removed the ability to upgrade weapons by dropping gold through NPC. However, with the re-introduction of the Bench upgrade system, Players can use their gold drops to upgrade their existing guns at a bench location.
Similar to any weapon upgrade system, players need to pay an actual fee in the form of the gold bar to upgrade their current weapon. Moreover. the amount of gold bar for an upgrade depends upon the rarity of the weapon. The better or rare the weapon the more players need to spend gold bar.
Back in Season 5, players trying to upgrade a weapon had to wait a certain period before they obtain the upgraded weapon. So this delay caused a lot of other squads to attack them while upgrading. This time around in Season 7 when a player uses a Weapon Bench to upgrade a weapon, the upgraded weapon will be obtained immediately without any time delay. The following is the price of each weapon upgrades at a bench station
- Common to Uncommon – 200 gold bars
- Uncommon to Rare – 300 gold bars
- Rare to Epic – 400 gold bars
- Epic to Legendary – 500 gold bars
