Fortnite adds new content to its game in some way or another with every new update. In Chapter 4 Season 3 WILDS, some old weapons and items have been unvaulted along with the launch of new weapons such as the Flapjack Rifle. Now another new weapon has become part of the new weapons list with the Fortnite Wilds 25.10 version update and it is known as the Explosive Repeater Rifle. So here’s how players can find it and use it in the game.
Where to find the Explosive Repeater Rifle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Wilds
The 25.10 version update has been made live from June 27, 2023, and the Explosive Repeater Rifle has been made part of the collection of weapons for this season along with it. The rifle replaces the classic Heavy Sniper Rifle and is available in all rarities which makes it pretty easy to find as it has Common and Uncommon variants.
Even though the inferior rarities are quite easy to come across, it might take a little patience to come across the Explosive Repeater Rifle specifically as there are several rifles available in this season. Players can normally look for it as floor loot or as chest loot in normal and rare chests both.
The higher rarity variants can also be obtained from Holo-Chests as they have a high probability of containing rifles. As the Heavy Sniper Rifle has been removed, the other rifle has been replaced for sale from the Nia NPC as of now. So players can head over near the Neon Bay Bridge if they want to buy it from her.
How to use the Explosive Repeater Rifle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 WILDS
The Explosive Repeater Rifle is not the same as other rifles in Fortnite as the name suggests. It can cause a small explosion once a bullet from this rifle hits an opponent or any surface. This is a useful trait as even if the players miss their target, they can still deal damage from the explosion caused nearby by the bullet.
The weapon can be used for medium to long-range combat and players will need to collect heavy ammo to reload the rifle which they can make easier for themselves by activating the Heavy Headshots and the Heavy Ammo Required Reality Augments. The first Augment can increase headshot damage for any of the heavy ammo weapons and the second Augment provides the player with some heavy ammo right away and also provides them with more of it when a container is opened in the match by them.
