Fortnite is known for introducing various new items into the game through various updates. It’s also a recurring event for them to introduce different birthday cakes during their anniversary every year. This year they are hosting their sixth anniversary from September 19 to September 26, 2023 and during this period players will be able to find Birthday Cakes and Birthday presents all over the island along with a lot of Balloons in Fortnite. So here’s how one can find them and use them in the game.
How to get Balloons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
Balloons can be found in Fortnite in three different ways. Players can either look for balloons directly as floor loot, they can also look for them inside treasure chests or they can use the Jump Balloon Reality Augment which will provide them with balloons continuously throughout the map for the rest of the match.
Fortnite is a content-rich game, so coming across balloons while looking through normal floor loot or chests can become unlikely as there are a lot of other items that can be found in these locations too, and with greater probability. Players can choose to activate the Jump Balloon Reality Augment in the game which will automatically grant them with balloons from time to time throughout the match. This means they won’t need to look for them anymore but one should also keep in mind that once activated, there’s no way to deactivate this reality augment.
How Balloons work in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
While using the balloons, players won’t suffer from any fall damage and will be able to jump to higher heights than normal as the helium balloons are very powerful and can keep players in the air for longer than normal. Upon finding a balloon item either as floor loot or from chests, players will get a total of ten balloons inside their inventory.
But if they are using the Jump Balloon Reality Augment, the balloons will simply start appearing on the player’s back as they won’t need to look for it anymore. One can inflate up to three balloons in a game and the more balloons they have, the higher they’ll be able to jump.
But one needs to be careful as if the balloon is popped by another player by shooting it or by reaching extreme heights, they will receive fall damage. A balloon can be inflated by pressing the Shoot button and can be released by pressing the Crouch button.
