Chelsea‘s smooth fixture has just begun, Man City‘s boosted run will start from gameweek 8 meanwhile Arsenal is getting back its rhythm, therefore, our watchlist is based on these facts, keeping eye on the wild card to use next week.
1. Antonio Rüdiger (Defender) – 5.7 million
Chelsea is about to begin their highly anticipated fixture swing following a narrow 1-0 defeat on gameweek 6. They faced 11 shots in the box while Leeds, Burnley and, Aston Villa have allowed more. But the Blues have conceded only 2 goals all season so far keeping 4 clean sheets with only Manchester City has faired better on either account. They Rank among the top 6 for expected goals conceded this season despite having faced four big teams in six matches.
Their next five-fixture includes home encounters with Southampton, Norwich, and Burnley and home ties with Brentford and Newcastle each team with a difficulty rating of just 2. 2. Bukayo Saka (Midfielder) – 6.2 million

His 0.53(xG) expected goals scoring figure during the match while Son and Aubameyang could equal his 2 shots-on-target.
Over the last four gameweeks, the 20 years old has produced team-leading 9 shots in the box, 21 touches in the box, and 2 big chances created. Only Bruno Fernandes, Mahrez, Jota, and Mane have created more big chances in that time were among the midfielders each with 3.
The Gunners rank among the top 5 teams for expected goals during the last three gameweeks while only Manchester United, Leed, and Liverpool have landed more shots-on-target. 12 out of their 14 matches against difficulty rating is either two or three.
3. Jack Grealish (Midfielder) – 8.0 million
Jack Grealish was denied twice by Edouard Mendy in gameweek 6 with only Gabriel Jesus was able to better his 0.4 (xG) expected goal figure during the match. The pair also joint top with 3 shots in the box and 11 touches in the box. After completing the move to Man City this summer Grealish has started all six matches so far. Though he has recorded only 2 goal involvements, his underlying performance number looks promising.
No teammate can better his 5 shots-on-target, 10 shots in the box or his 3 Big chance created. Among all midfielders only Salah has taken more touches in the opposition’s penalty box and Bruno Fernandes can better his 18 attempted assists. After meeting Liverpool this weekend Man City will enjoy a long road of favorable fixtures with Burnley and Crystal Palace the next teams to visit Etihad.
4. Jamie Vardy (Forward) – 10.4 million
Many managers lost their faith in Jamie Vardy due to the slow start of Leicester (2W-1D-3L) this season. However, The Englishman has maintained his standard performance. He has gathered 40 FPL points in total in the last six matches (an average of 6.67/game). During that period of time, Vardy has scored 5 goals with an expected non-penalty goal figure of 0.64 (xG/90) and provided 1 assist with the expected assist figure of 0.08 (xA/90). Vardy has smashed 17 shots, kept 8 shots on target, and created 7 big chances during his game time.
Leicester has comparatively smooth fixtures coming up ahead, 2 out of 11 matches have a difficulty rating of 4 (but both at home), and 5 of them as a difficulty rating of 2 which includes Crystal Palace, Brentford, Watford, Southampton, and, Newcastle. Therefore, Vardy could be a good pick for quite a long time.
5. Raul Jimenez (Forward) – 7.5 million
After returning from the head injury last season Jimenez took little time to pick up the from and managers have already started to recognize that. Despite scoring just 1 goal in the last 6 matches Jimenez has some impressive underlying stats. He has provided 16 key passes which are among the top 5 in all FPL players. Jimenez has an expected non-penalty goal figure of 0.30(xG/90) and 0.23 (xA/90) expected assist figure in his last 6 matches. During the above-mentioned time, he has taken 16 shots ( 3 on-target) and an average of 2.4 shots/match from inside of the box. Four out of his next eight matches have a difficulty rating of just 2 which includes Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Norwich, Burnley and only one has 4 against West Ham.
