The onset of good fixtures along with their form can really turn them into good replacements for the underperforming assets of the fantasy team. All the managers are trying to stabilize their teams with suitable options before the price hikes. In this FPL Gameweek 29 Watchlist 2021/22, we will be looking at 5 Fantasy players, who could become future transfer targets, carrying their good run.

FPL Gameweek 29 Watchlist 2021/22

The focus of this week is primarily on the teams enjoying a double gameweek 29 as well as not blanking in gameweek 30. The two North London clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham have favorable fixtures moving forward and hence much emphasis has been given on their players. With that being said, here are five players under consideration in this gameweek after impressing over the weekend.

1. Martin Ødegaard (Midfielder) – 5.5 Million

Bukayo Saka is one of the top arsenal midfielders of choice but Gabrielle Martinelli and Martin Ødegaard both make a case as cheaper alternatives. It was Ødegaard who opened the scoring against Watford after an exchange with Saka who picked out his well-timed run into the box. The Norwegian found the net with his only attempt at goal but fashioned a match leading tally of 4 attempted assists.

7 of his 8 goal involvements this season have come since gameweek 14 and only Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin De Bruyne, and Bruno Fernandes can better his 32 attempted assists in that time. Ødegaard has landed 9 shots on target in the same period trailing only Lacazette with 10 and Saka with 13 amongst teammates. Arsenal has a favorable running to end the season including a double gameweek 29, a fixture in blank gameweek 30, and two matches are yet to be rescheduled.

2. Dejan Kulusevski (Midfielder) – 6.1 Million

After making his premier league debut in gameweek 24 Dejan Kulusevski has gone on to make four consecutive starts. With 2 goals and an assist in that time, only Harry Kane earned more than his 23 FPL points amongst teammates. No Spurs player has taken as many as his 23 touches in the opposition penalty box in that time and he ranks second for shots in the box and expected goals.

Whilst question marks still remain over his game time in the long term with Lucas Moura now back from injury, his 6.1 million pound price tag is much more budget-friendly than big hitters Son and Kane. Tottenham travels away to Man United and Brighton for their double gameweek 29 before hosting West Ham in gameweek 30 where they’re one of just eight teams to feature. Across their last four matches, Antonio Conte’s side has scored a total of 7 goals trailing just Chelsea, Arsenal Liverpool, and Man City.

3. Harvey Barnes (Midfielder) – 6.5 Million

Harvey Barnes stole 3 points for Leicester City in a 1-0 win over Leeds on Saturday producing their only real moment of quality throughout the match. They fail to register a big chance but the winger racked up a team-leading 0.24 expected goals figure. With 5 goal involvements in six appearances during this calendar year, Barnes is the fox’s top FPL point scorer with 32 an average of 8 points per 90 minutes.

No teammate can better his tally of 17 shots in that time while only Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has offered more than his 7 attempted assists. Leicester assets are on the radar for the end-of-season run with a home fixture against Brentford in Blank gameweek 30 and 3 games yet to be rescheduled but their involvement in the Conference League does cause some fear of rotation. Also worrying is their lack of goals with 9 in 7 league matches since the turn of the year.

4. Alexandre Lacazette (Forward) – 8.3 Million

Arsenal is one of the two teams that have double gameweek 29 and have a match in gameweek 30. Lacazette has started all the matches since gameweek 15 and played a key role behind Arsenal’s good run of form. The Frenchman has played a direct hand in 5 goals out of Arsenal’s 8 goals in the last four matches.

In that time he has landed a total of 17 shots keeping 3 on-target with an expected goals figure of 0.57 (xG) per 90 and Provided 5 assists creating 16 good chances and 4 big chances with an expected assists figure of 0.14 (xA) per 90.

5. Harry Kane (Forward) – 12.3 Million

Tottenham is the other team with double gameweek 29 and having a match in gameweek 30. In the last 4 matches, the England captain has bagged an astonishing three double-digit hauls averaging a massive 9.8 FPL points per game In the last 5 matches, Kane has scored 5 goals and registered 1 assist with team-leading figures of 12 shots inside the box and 4 big chances.
