FPL GW11 Watchlist 2021/22: 5 Fantasy players to watch out for

5 players to transfer in for the upcoming gameweeks!

After the end of FPL 2021/22 GW 11, there has been a lot of share of points with the premium assets delivering huge points. Apart from the popular picks, there are quite a number of players, who have impressed over the weekend with points and underlying stats. The onset of good fixtures along with their form can really turn them into good replacements for the underperforming assets of the fantasy team. All the managers are trying to stabilize their teams with suitable options before the price hikes. In this FPL GW11 Watchlist 2021/22, we will be looking at 5 Fantasy players, who could become future transfer targets, carrying their good run.

FPL GW11 Watchlist 2021/22

1. Reece James (Defender) – 5.8 million

Chelsea wing-backs continue to catch the eye as Reece James scored twice to oversee a 3-0 win over Newcastle. No teammate took as many as his 3 shots in the box during the gameweek while only Kai Havertz could equal his 7 touches in the opposition’s penalty box. Those numbers are both leading tallies amongst defenders in the current gameweek. Despite making only four starts this season James is now the top-scoring FPL defender with 4 goals 2 assists and 3 clean sheets.

Amongst defenders with at least 200 minutes played his average of 13.7 points per 90 ranks top with Ben Chilwell just behind in second place with 10.8. James ranks top amongst the same group of players for big chances per 90 with 0.49 while only Trent Alexander-Arnold can better his average of 0.49 big chances created per 90 minutes. Chelsea have conceded just three goals in ten matches so far three fewer than any other side and are ranked behind only Man City and Wolves for xG conceded. They face Burnley Watford and Leeds in the next six games.

2. Sergio Reguilón (Defender) – 5.0 million

Antonio Conte is going to take the charge of Tottenham and Sergio Reguilón is the man to run through the left-wing. Spurs are struggling from the beginning of the season and Reguilon’s price again comes down to 5 million after a little hike in GW6. Reguilon has provided 2 assists so far in this season (though he has not started against Manchester United) with an expected Assist figure of 0.08 (xA) creating 7 big chances. His numbers are nothing close to the likes of Reece James but they are expected to get better under Conte.

Spurs have a quite favorable fixture waiting ahead that includes Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, and Norwich in the next 5 gameweeks. Under Conte who is a defensive manager, Spurs are expected to improve defensively and their upcoming fixture run couldn’t be easier for Conte to get into the PL mood. Reguilon given his price is definitely one to consider and there are minimal chances for Conte to opt for Ben Davies in place of Reguilon.

3. Conor Gallagher (Midfielder) – 5.7 million

Man City suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace as Conor Gallagher ended a run of three matches without a return playing a direct hand in both goals. No player during the match could better his 0.48 expected assist figure while only Jack Grealish provided more than his 4 attempted assists. Since Gallagher made his first appearance in gameweek 2 only Salah and Mane have produced more FPL points amongst midfielders.

He ranks amongst the top six midfielders for expected goals in that time trailing only to Jota, Mbeumo, Son, and the two Liverpool midfielders. Amongst budget midfielders priced at seven million pounds or less, only Sarr and Mbeumo can better their 4 big chances while only Redmond, Tielemans, and Kovačić have created more big chances than his 3. Crystal Palace faces just one of last season’s top four teams in the next 10 game weeks with Wolves, Burnley, Aston Villa, and Leeds up next.

4. Ivan Toney (Forward) – 6.6 million

Ivan Toney hasn’t scored in the last five gameweeks. But Brentford’s appeal is all about fixtures. Brentford faces Norwich next at home, followed by a trip to Newcastle, then Everton, Spurs, Leeds, and Watford. In terms of attacking returns, Brentford assets should be targeted with Toney and Mbuemo at the focal point. Over the last five gameweeks, Toney has produced 13 shots in the box, produced 7 key passes, and has registered 1 assist.

Toney possesses an xG of 1.30 with xA of 1.40. With so many forwards failing to score at the moment Toney might be the one who provides value given his price and with some of the easiest fixtures possible. Even though his 4 attacking returns in the last 10 games sound far from promising, it is solely due to the fixtures that make Ivan Toney a serious FPL asset for the coming gameweeks.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo (Forward) – 12.4 million

Man United bounced back with a 3-0 win over Spurs as Cristiano Ronaldo reminded us that he’s far from finished as an FPL asset this season. Playing on the counter it was a performance packed with quality rather than quantity from the Portugal international who took just 2 shots and volleyed in the opener from what looked to be an impossible angle. He then saw a thunder strike ruled out for offside before sending Edinson Cavani through on goal for the second.

This was Ronaldo’s second double-figure return of the season and ended a run of four league matches without a goal. Since making his premier league return in gameweek 4, only Mohamed Salah has fired more than his 27 shots but fixtures against Man City, Chelsea and, Arsenal in the next four gameweeks could be enough to delay bringing him back in until gameweek 15 when United begin a long run at favorable matches.
