Genshin Impact Version 4.2 update has brought a new set of enemies for both Floor 11 in the Spiral Abyss. Since these are the topmost floors of the Abyss, ensure that you have units that are at least sufficiently built for the teams they are in. In this guide, we will explain the new changes in the current Spiral Abyss, how to clear them in the current Genshin Impact 4.2 patch update, and the most optimal teams that can be used.
Genshin Impact 4.2 Update Spiral Abyss Guide: How to clear Floor 11
Ley Line Disorders: All characters in the party gain a 60% Electro DMG Bonus. All party members receive a 60% Hydro DMG Bonus.
Chamber 1

First Half
- In the first wave, all enemies except the Whopperflowers will attack the monolith. After you start the challenge, immediately charge toward the Pyro Slimes and use Hydro attacks to get them out of the Ignited state. These Slimes will also get near the monolith, if you defeat them while they’re ignited, they will explode and deal damage to the monolith. If you bring Anemo CC you can just gather them in one place and defeat all of them at the same time. It is highly recommended that you bring an Anemo character for this half.
- In the second wave, all enemies except the Whopperflowers will still attack the monolith. Ignore the Whoppeflowers for now as they will keep following you in your location and just focus on all the enemies that are gathered near the monolith. The Slimes and Crabs in this stage will often do the jump and slam attack the monolith so they will definitely get near the mechanism at one point.
- Since all enemies here are Pyro-related and most of them have Pyro shield/state, you might want to bring along at least one Hydro character. In addition, you can also bring an Electro character to trigger Electro-Charged while also taking advantage of Leyline Disorder.
Second Half
- In the first and second waves, all enemies will chase after you and won’t attack the Monolith. This half is extremely easy because all you need to do is get away from the Monolith and the opponents will follow after you. In addition, you can take your time defeating them because there’s no timer in this challenge.
Chamber 2

First Half
- In this one wave, all enemies spawn close to each other. The Dendro Samachurl should be your first priority because it’s the only different element here that can cause elemental reactions.
- After that, it’s the 2 Abyss Lector. Unfortunately, both the lectors cannot be moved away so your only option is to either use Anemo CC to gather both of them at the same spot so you can deal damage with both of them or focus on one Abyss Lector at a time.
- For the Abyss Lectors in their second phase, there is one skill where it summons a meteor and leaves behind Darkfire Furnace on the field. Once this thing appears on the field, definitely go for this furnace and destroy it using elemental attacks, in this case, Hydro would be the best element. This is because the Lector will summon many flames to flare from the ground for the entire duration of Darkfire Furnace is on the field. In addition, once this furnace is gone, it will also deplete the Lector’s shield.
Second Half
- In the first wave, there are 3 Primal Constructs and they spawn close to each other at the front. Once you start the challenge, immediately go to either most left/right Primal Construct so the opposite one will hover in your direction. You can gather them in one spot without even using Anemo CC. Once they’re together, unleash every Skill/Burst you have to defeat all of them at the same time.
- They can enter an invisible state, and once they do, you will have 3 options below. It’s recommended that you use the Quicken method because it’s faster than the first method: Destroy the parts they leave on the field then use Electro. Inflict Quicken on the invisible part. Wait for a long time before they end the invisible state and appear again
- In the second wave, there is only 1 Eremite Stone Enchanter. From your previous spot at the front area, immediately go to the back area towards the Eremite because he won’t move and use the skill that will summon his spirit animal.
- Right from the start, the Stone Enchanter will enter an enhanced state and summon his spirit animal crocodile. If your DPS can’t break through his now-increased RES, the best move is to kill the spirit animal first. That way, the enhanced state will end, and he will receive True DMG and will become stunned for 10 seconds. You can then use all sorts of Skills/Bursts during the 10-second DPS window.
Chamber 3

First Half
- There is only one wave here, and 2 the Operatives spawn at the front area. Once you start the challenge, go to the Wind Operative on your right rather than the Frost one. This is because the Frost Operative often uses Blinkchase skill (not an official name) that will let her thrust forward in your direction. This way, you can gather both of them at the same spot. Wind Operative also has a teleport skill but she doesn’t use it much often. It’s all up to RNG, I suppose.
- You need to keep watch of their attack and make sure you avoid their Hunt Down skill because it will attach a Bond of Life to the characters they hit.
- When using the skill, the Operative will sacrifice 5% of her Max HP (or 25% of current HP if HP percentage is under 20%) to initiate Hunt Down: Locks onto the player (can be seen by the red arrow on top of you).
- If the player is hit by this attack, they will receive a Life Bond equal to 16% of the Operative’s ATK. As long as this Life Bond is active, it will also be affected by a Corrosion status which drains 0.4% Max HP + 72 every second.
- If the Hunt Down attack hits a character affected by this Life Bond, it will deal 250% of its original DMG. This Life Bond is stackable and This will last for 10 minutes if not cleared.
- Bond of Life will absorb the healing effects that a character receives. This will prevent them from recovering HP. After this character is healed for an amount equal to the Bond of Life, the Bond can then be cleared. When a character is granted another Bond of Life, the healing required to clear the Bond of Life will also stack.
- The problem is not only your characters will have a hard time healing, but the second time the same character gets hit with another Hunt Down skill, it will deal more DMG to said character. Since there are 2 Operators here, it’s important to watch both of them so they can’t stack the Bond of Life.
Second Half
- There are two enemies in the first and only wave so you don’t have to worry too much except for its decent HP and small resistance against Physical attacks.
- If you didn’t bring Anemo CC, you can start by going to the nearest wall and trigger the swim attack from the Vishaps so they will chase after you. Remember that these Vishaps have 30% resistance against Physical and Hydro, so avoid bringing them if your characters are not fully built.
- Two of the most troublesome skills from these enemies are:
- Cleansing Shower: Drain Energy from your active character. If your character has less than 10 Energy, they will lose lots of health regardless you have a shield or not.
- Spike Field (not official name): Create water splashes from the ground, and easily stagger or interrupt any character without a shield.
Optimal Team Comps to use on Floor 11 in Genshin Impact 4.2 Update Spiral Abyss
There are Leyline Monolith stages for Chamber 1, so you want to squeeze in an Anemo CC to any of the teams. If you only have 1, then it’s recommended to add them in the 1st Half because there are more enemies that can be gathered with Anemo CC in the 1st Half compared to the 2nd Half. If you plan to bring a Bloom team, remember that the explosion from the Dendro Cores will also deal some damage and reduce the Monolith’s HP.
The recommended element for the First Half is Hydro in addition to Anemo CC. There are lots of enemies spawning at once so it’s best if you can bring and use CC to gather all of them at once place. For the last 2 slots, you can add any other elements aside from the 2 mentioned above to trigger elemental reactions (preferably Electro so your team can take advantage of the Ley Line Disorder)
For the Second Half, It’s not recommended to bring Hydro or Physical because there are Ruin enemies here that have high resistance against Physical attacks and Vishap enemies that have high resistance to Hydro. The best element, in my opinion, is any reactions related to Electro because there are Primal Constructs enemies that can turn invisible, and using the said element can remove those invisibility + in addition to the DMG bonus from Leyline Disorder. There’s also no need for Anemo CC because the enemies here are pretty easy to regroup without even using any Anemo (will be explained on each floor later)
