Hidden Strife is a battle event in Genshin Impact. Players have to defeat enemies with the help of domain buffs to receive rewards such as Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit and ascension materials.
Genshin Impact Hidden Strife Event: Event Duration
The event will start on the date of 27th of July, 2022 to the date of 15th of August, 2022.
Requirements to unlock
- Adventurer Rank 25 or above.
- Completion of Archon Quest Prologue Act III: Song of the Dragon and Freedom.
- Completion of Diluc’s story quest: Noctua chapter Act I: Darknight Hero’s Alibi.
Event details and Lore
The event will feature Diluc‘s new five-star skin “Read dead of the night“, where Diluc got it and why there is no vision on it. From the first day of the event, a new challenge will unlock every day. A total of seven challenges will be unlocked.
Each challenge will have unique Ley Line residues, which have their own special effects. Players need to use it to their advantage in battle. Every challenge has two modes, “Vicious battle” and “Dire Straits“.
Vicious battle
The mode features three difficulty levels, which are Perilous, Quandary, and Desperate. All difficulties will be unlocked by default after the challenge begins. Completing it at a greater difficulty will automatically complete the lower difficulties.
Dire Straits
The mode only unlocks after completing “Desperate” Difficulty in Vicious Battle Mode.
Genshin Impact Hidden Strife Event Walkthrough: How to start
- Players need to complete the event quest “Phantom of the past” to participate in the hidden strife event
- They must go to Dawn Winery and talk to Adelinde.
- Players can head towards Falcon coast.
- Players can investigate the abnormal ley line deposit.
- A new challenge will be unlocked every day starting from the first day of the event.

- Elemental burst DMG increased by 50%.
- After-imaged might: Elemental burst increased by 75%, and 3 energy is restored after every 2 s, which is obtained after using 6 Elemental bursts.

Challenge will unlock on 28/07/2022.
Ley line residue effects
- DMG dealt by Vaporize and Melt increased by 40%
- Afterimaged might: DMG dealt by Vaporize and Melt increased by 40%. It will unleash a Shockwave at the position where the reaction was triggered. It can be triggered every 4 s and is obtained after triggering 12 Vaporize/melt reactions

After completing all the challenges, players will be rewarded with a total of:
- Primogems x 420
- Mora x 160,000
- Hero’s wit x 16
- Mystic Enhancement ore x 34
- Debris of Decarabian’s City x 6
- Boreal Wolf’s Cracked Tooth x 6
- Chains of Dandelion Gladiator x 6
