Genshin Impact Springtime Charms event is the Version’s flagship Event introduced in the Version 5.3 Update. This event celebrates the yearly Lantern Rite Festival as we take a stroll around Liyue Harbor and play various games and challenges spread around the docks. By completing challenges, you can earn rewards such as Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Crown of Insight, and more.
The event will run from the 24th of January, 2025 08:00 UTC till the 9th of February, 2025 01:59 UTC. Players must have an Adventure Rank of 20 or above and complete the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Additionally, finishing the Archon Quest “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection,” and the Story Quests “Lagenaria Chapter: Act I” and “Papilio Charontis Chapter: Act I” first is recommended for the best experience.
Genshin Impact Springtime Charms Event Overview
During the event, the following gameplay modes will unlock in sequence: “Immortal Combat,” “Drills by Lamplight,” “Custom Gift Envelopes,” and “Festive Travel Journal.” Complete the different game modes and challenges to obtain various rewards.
Immortal Combat
In Immortal Combat, new blocks will constantly appear in the marked zone at the top of the arena and fall. You control these blocks by moving them left or right, rotating them, or speeding up their descent. The goal is to connect 4 or more blocks of the same color to clear them.
When blocks are cleared, your rattan figure will attack the opponent’s rattan figure, gain energy based on your Chain Level, and send obstacles to your opponent’s field. If clearing blocks cause other blocks to fall and trigger additional clears, a Chain Clear occurs. Chain Clears boost your rattan figure’s attack and energy gain while also strengthening the obstacles sent to your opponent.
Each rattan figure has unique skills. You can tap to unleash these skills for buffs, or wait for the figure to fully charge and automatically use a powerful skill to hinder your opponent. Blocks can also gain special effects from skills, so make sure to review your rattan figure’s abilities. In modes like “Friendly Contests” and “Full-Force Faceoffs,” opponents may send blocks with negative effects to your field.
Drills by Lamplight
In this mode, you select Secret Stratagems to enhance your team’s performance and scoring potential. As you unlock more drills, you can use additional Stratagems. There are three types of Stratagems:
- Stratagems of Engagement permanently increase points scored when defeating opponents.
- Stratagems of Assault increase the multiplier for points scored by party members.
- Stratagems of Variation temporarily multiply points scored by the party, with each activation refreshing the effect’s duration.
After defeating a wave of opponents, your score is calculated by multiplying the basic score from the wave, the difficulty multiplier, additional score multipliers, and the Stratagem of Variation multiplier (default is 1 if not triggered). When the drill ends, you gain the final score from the most recent wave.
Custom Gift Envelopes
In this mode, you help your companions complete their gift envelopes according to their preferences. You can also create your gift envelopes to give to companions or other players. Additionally, you can exhibit completed envelopes publicly on a celebratory board.
Festive Travel Journal
During the Lantern Rite, you can find and interact with various festive toys located around Liyue Harbor to obtain various event-exclusive Furnishings.
Genshin Impact Springtime Charms Event Rewards
Participating in this event provides opportunities to earn a variety of valuable rewards. Completing challenges will grant players:
- Primogems
- Hero’s Wit
- Mora
- Crown of Insight
- Mystic Enhancement Ore
Additionally, earning enough Festive Fever can allow you to claim Xiangling’s outfit “New Year’s Cheer” and a free 4-Star character from Liyue of your choice!
