Genshin Impact: The complete Mika Constellations Guide and Tips

Constellations for Mika!

“Coordinates of Clear Frost” Mika is a 4* Physical support character who was released in Genshin Impact version 3.5. He is a dedicated support for Physical DMG and he gets better with his constellations. This article will go in-depth about his constellations and why he needs them to be a decent Physical support.

Genshin Impact: Constellations for Mika

Constellation LevelConstellation Effect(s)
C1. Factor Confluence
The Soulwind state of Starfrost Swirl can decrease the healing interval between instances caused by Skyfeather Song’s Eagleplume state. This decrease percentage is equal to the ATK SPD increase provided by Soulwind.
C2. Companion’s Ingress
When Starfrost Swirl’s Flowfrost Arrow first hits an opponent, or its Rimestar Flare hits an opponent, 1 Detector stack from Passive Talent “Suppressive Barrage” will be generated. You must have unlocked the Passive Talent “Suppressive Barrage” first.
C3. Reconnaissance Experience
Increases the Level of Skyfeather Song by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4. Sunfrost Encomium
When Mika’s own Skyfeather Song’s Eagleplume state heals party members, this will restore 3 Energy to Mika. This form of Energy restoration can occur 5 times during the Eagleplume state created by 1 use of Skyfeather Song.
C5. Signal Arrow
Increases the Level of Starfrost Swirl by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6. Companion’s Counsel
The maximum number of Detector stacks that Starfrost Swirl’s Soulwind can gain is increased by 1. You need to have unlocked the Passive Talent “Suppressive Barrage” first. Additionally, active characters affected by Soulwind will deal 60% more Physical CRIT DMG.

C2: Companion’s Ingress

Mika will generate 1 Detector stack just by hitting enemies with his skill. Usually against one enemy, only one Detector stack could have been generated at C0, but at C2 the minimum Detector stack he can have is 2. Against 1/2/3 targets he will provide a 20%/30%/40% Physical DMG bonus.

C3: Reconnaissance Experience

Increases Mika’s elemental burst level by 3. A minor increase in his healing ability.

C4: Sunfrost Encomium

Mika can regenerate up to 15 or 18 energy for himself when his burst ticks heal party members. This really helps with his energy issues and lets him use his burst-off cooldown more reliably. This is flat energy that is being restored and remains unaffected by ER.

C5: Signal Arrow

Increases Mika’s elemental skill level by 3. A minor increase in his ATK speed buff.

C6: Companion’s Counsel

This is the constellation that solidifies Mika as the dedicated support for Physical DMG. This constellation does two things:

  • Increases Crit DMG of Physical by 60%
  • Increases the maximum number of Detector stacks by 1

At C6, Mika can possess 4 Detector stacks. This, combined with his C2, allows Mika to buff Physical DMG by 20%/30%/40%/50% against 1/2/3/4 enemies.

Final Thoughts

Mika is yet another 4* character that requires C6 to unlock his full potential. He joins Kujou Sara, Gorou, and Faruzan in the list of dedicated supports for their respective elements. His C6 is the one that actually helps buff Physical DMG by a decent amount.

The maximum of 50% Physical DMG bonus might seem big in theory, but this DMG bonus is additive, not multiplicative. Top Physical DPS like Eula already have a lot of Physical DMG bonuses and +50% from Mika does not increase her DMG by a significant amount because this stat has already become oversaturated on her.
