Genshin Impact once again brings in another reoccurring flagship Lantern Rite event called ‘The Exquisite Night Chimes’ which is released in version 3.4. The event has a broad range of games to participate in and quest lines to play along. The Limited Event is available from the 19th of January (10:00) to the 6th of February (03:59) at all server times. How to unlock the ‘The Exquisite Night Chimes’ event in Genshin Impact
To be eligible to participate in the new Lantern Rite Event, players must be:
- Adventure Rank 28 or above
- Complete the Archon Quest Chapter One, ACT III: A New Star Approaches
Additionally, players should complete both Yelan’s Story Quest “Umbrabilis Orchis” Act I and the Interlude Archon Quest Chapter: ACT I ‘’ The Crane Returns on the Wind” to get the full experience of the Limited Event. If players have no finished either of these quests, then they can continue onto the Event by pressing on ‘Quick Start’ on the Event page.
Genshin Impact the Exquisite Night Chimes: Gameplay Guide
To have access to all the Events, players must first complete The Exquisite Night Chimes: Part I “A Thousand Miles for an Enigmatic Tune” event quest. There will be a total of 4 parts of different gameplays in the ‘Event Details’ section.
Radiant Sparks
In the Radiant Sparks challenge, your goal is to collect as many Challenge Coins as possible during the Challenge. The final score will be determined by the less time taken to complete the finish line and the number of Coins obtained during the said Challenge.
During the Challenge, there will be a certain effect called the Aegis of Sparks that gives you the Sparkling Rush buff where you dash forward quickly in a short distance while collecting all the Coins on the way.
There are floating balloons called Firework Fruits that will make you rapidly leap into the air using the fireworks’ power. Your Wind Glider will automatically be deployed when you reach the highest point it can allow.
Paper Theater
In the Paper Theater Challenge, complete the play by switching the scenic boxes to get the actor ‘Huanguang’ to his destination.
When the performance begins, the actor Huanguang will start moving at a fixed speed across the stage and will change his direction if he comes into contact with the Paper Theater’s edge or any obstacles along the way. Players can move the stage sections to change their path and avoid any traps or reach their destination. The destination sometimes involves a door to which the actor needs to find and obtain a key to open the door.
- Traps will be displayed along the game that can cause the performance to be over if the actor gets in touch with the trap, causing the game to re-start.
- There are also gaps in which the actor can leap from an upper level to the lower level easily. Although if he falls from the gap in the lower level, he will fall off the stage and the game will be over.
- ‘Huanguang’ can use the wind by the Adeptus and reach higher stages of the play.
- There are certain gaps on the stage where players can use the mechanisms on the floor to control whether the gap can be opened or closed. It can only be switched on and off if Huanguang steps onto the device.
Vigilance Sea
A waveride racer Challenge that can be played in both co-op mode “Billowing Mode” and “Tranquil Waters” single-player mode. The event has a total of 3 Challenges that are randomized on each gameplay and you have to collect as many Coins as possible during the Challenge. The 3 Challenges are as follows:
- Crossing the Thrumming Waves: Collect the Coins while Whirlpools are spawned in all directions.
- The Floating Lanterns Mystique: Match the Lantern patterns and colors with the Fireworks and destroy them to obtain Coins.
- Mystical Elevation: Collect coins while in mid-air and on the water’s surface.
Players can gain certain techniques by collecting Prop Lamps in each stage. Additionally, the Waveriders will have a Durability HP bar where it can be destroyed by certain obstacles. In the Billowing Waves mode, all the Coins will be lost and you will enter a ‘Voyage Observer’ state where you cannot participate in obtaining any Coins for a certain time. In the Tranquil Waters mode, the Challenge will end immediately and it will calculate your score from the challenge.
Behind the Scenes
Complete a series of Battle Challenges around the open world to obtain various rewards and Primogems.
During the Challenge, you have to defeat a group of opponents to progress to the next Challenge. When the opponents are defeated, a shockwave will show up that deals Pyro damage to any nearby enemies. After finishing off the opponents, you will receive a treasure chest that contains rewards. A wind current will also appear to transfer you to the next area of the battle.

When the Festive Fever reaches 800, players can invite any of the 4 Star Characters listed on the Event page. Additionally, there are other various rewards to be obtained during the whole event.
