Genshin Impact Version 3.6: Tips to defeat new enemies in the game

It won't be easy defeating these enemies!

Genshin Impact has introduced a new patch Version 3.6 releasing a brand new sub-region and with it comes 4 new enemies related to the Hilichurls and the Consecrated Beasts. These Enemies in particular currently available in the open world located at the new 3.6 Desert region. And as such will drop an assortment of materials. Additionally, they appear in the new Spiral Abyss rotations of Version 3.6.

The enemies discussed today can be farmed by following the Adventurer’s Handbook. The new mobs are all classified as high-tier enemies. This means it may prove to be difficult to fight especially if the bosses are put in the Spiral Abyss. In this guide, we will give tips and tricks to navigate and defeat the new enemies of Version 3.6 in Genshin Impact.

How to defeat new enemies in Genshin Impact Version 3.6

Anemo Hilichurl Rogue

  • Materials Dropped: A Flower Yet to Bloom, Treasured Flower, Wanderer’s Blooming Flower
  • Classification: Hilichurls (Hilichurl Rogues)
  • Damage inflicted: Anemo

Attack Patterns and Abilities

  • Single Slash: Swings its blade once, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
  • Double Slash: Swings its blade twice, dealing AoE Anemo DMG. If the player is still within melee range afterward, follow up with a Single Slash.
  • Triple Throw: Transforms its blade into a shuriken and throws 3 spinning blades consecutively, dealing Anemo DMG on hit.
  • Shuriken Throw: Transforms its blade into a shuriken and throws it at the player. The shuriken will travel a certain distance before turning back to return to the Hilichurl Rogue and deals Anemo DMG on hit.
  • Floating State: Summons an Anemo Slime and uses it to float. While floating, fires wind blades at the player thrice, dealing Anemo DMG on hit. If the player hits the slime, the Hilichurl Rogue will fall onto the ground.

Tips to defeat Anemo Hilichurl Rogue in Genshin Impact Version 3.6

The Hilichurl Rogue has an increased resistance to the Anemo element. So it is advisable to defeat the enemy using non-Anemo elements. The Hilichurl is easily defeated by many strong strikes and does not have a complicated mechanism as the other highly classified and new enemies. Be sure to avoid its attacks by using i-frames or just timing your dodges. This would prove to be effective, especially in the Spiral Abyss. 

Hydro Hilichurl Rogue

  • Classification: Hilichurls (Hilichurl Rogues)
  • Damage inflicted: Hydro

Attack Patterns and Abilities

  • Single Slash: Swings its scythe once, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Double Slash: Swings its scythe twice, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Charging Slash: If the player is far away, charges at the player and swings its scythe once, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Stab: Adjusts the blade of its scythe and stabs the player, dealing Hydro DMG.
  • Slime Throw: Throws 3 Hydro Slimes at the player, each dealing Hydro DMG.
  • Bubble Cannon: Summons a Hydro Slime and pokes it repeatedly to launch 3 bubbles at the player, which will trap the player and Hydro DMG upon contact. Afterward, kicks the Hydro Slime at the player, dealing Hydro DMG on hit.

Tips to defeat Hydro Hilichurl Rogue in Genshin Impact Version 3.6

The Hilichurl Rogue has an increased resistance to the Hydro element so it is advisable to defeat the enemy using non-Hydro elements. The Hilichurl is easily defeated by many strong strikes and does not have a complicated mechanism as the other highly classified and new enemies.

When it uses its Bubble Cannon ability, the slime there is a Hydro entity and can be defeated using Elemental Reactions. Attacking or defeating the slime will apply Hydro to the Hilichurl Rogue. Additionally, defeating it will knock the Hilichurl Rogue down. Be sure to avoid its attacks by using i-frames or just timing your dodges. This would prove to be effective, especially in the Spiral Abyss.

Consecrated Horned Crocodile

  • Materials Dropped: Desiccated Shell, Sturdy Shell, Marked Shell
  • Classification: Consecrated Beasts
  • Damage inflicted: Hydro

Attack Patterns and Abilities

  • Phagocytic Form: Enters Phagocytic Form immediately when in combat, increasing its Hydro RES by 60% and all other RES by 30%.
  • Melee Combo: Performs a 4-part combo consisting of a horn strike, a bite, a tail swipe, and a front flip, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Ranged Combo: Fires off 3 water blades from its horn and tail, dealing Hydro DMG.
  • Emerging Strike: Submerges into the ground and moves towards the player, dealing Hydro DMG upon contact. Upon reaching the player, leaps out of the ground and slams down, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Roll: Strikes once with its horn and rolls sideways towards the player, dealing Hydro DMG.
  • Tail Sweep: If the player is behind the Consecrated Horned Crocodile, swipes its tail to turn and face the player, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.
  • Bite: Charges at the player and bites with its mouth, dealing Hydro DMG. This attack is only used when the Consecrated Horned Crocodile is not in Phagocytic Form.
  • Phagocytic Splash: Summons an eruption of water at the player’s location, then a ring-shaped wave around the impacted area, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.

Tips to defeat Consecrated Horned Crocodile in Genshin Impact Version 3.6

During an attack, the Consecrated Horned Crocodile will exit its Phagocytic Form and spawn a Phagocytic Energy Block for 6 seconds. This block can be destroyed using one Hydro attack or six non-Hydro elemental attacks. If destroyed, a status effect will be applied to the active character for 10 seconds, causing all party members to lose 2% of their Max HP every second.

The status can be consumed when the Consecrated Horned Crocodile is hit with certain attacks, causing it to lose 15% of its Max HP and become paralyzed. If the status is not consumed, the creature will re-enter its Phagocytic Form after 10 seconds. If the block is not destroyed in time, the creature will reabsorb it and return to its Phagocytic Form.

Consecrated Fanged Beast

  • Classification: Consecrated Beasts
  • Damage inflicted: Dendro

Attack Patterns and Abilities

  • Phagocytic Form: Enters Phagocytic Form immediately when in combat, increasing its Dendro RES by 60% and all other RES by 30%.
  • Combo Attack 1: Attacks with its claw then its head, dealing Dendro DMG then leaps and launches 3 trails of vines that each deal Dendro DMG on hit.
  • Combo Attack 2: Performs 3 rapid claw strikes and 2 slower claw strikes, dealing Dendro DMG.
  • Rolling Strike: If the player is far away, rolls towards the player, dealing Dendro DMG on hit, and performs a sweeping attack at the player’s location, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.
  • Tail Blade: Swings its tail to launch a Dendro blade at the player, dealing Dendro DMG on hit.
  • Phagocytic Ambush: Vanishes into a cloud of mist, then strikes from behind the player’s character, causing 2 waves of spiky leaves to form in the impacted area, dealing AoE Dendro DMG. During this attack, the Consecrated Fanged Beast will temporarily exit Phagocytic Form and spawn a Phagocytic Energy Block that lasts for 6 seconds.

Tips to defeat Consecrated Fanged Beast in Genshin Impact Version 3.6

To defeat the Consecrated Flying Serpent, players must destroy its Phagocytic Energy Block using a single Dendro attack or six non-Dendro elemental attacks. Once destroyed, the active character will receive a status that lasts for 10 seconds, causing all party members to lose 2% of their Max HP every second.

The status can be consumed by hitting the creature with a Normal/Charged/Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, which will cause it to lose 15% of its Max HP and become paralyzed. If the status expires, the Consecrated Fanged Beast will re-enter its Phagocytic Form. If the block is not destroyed in time, the creature will reabsorb it and return to its Phagocytic Form.
