Genshin Impact: Weekly Bosses: List, how to beat them, and what can be obtained

Know them to Beat them!

In this guide, we’ll go over everything you need to know about weekly bosses in Genshin Impact. These are special enemies that you can fight once a week, and we’ll provide a detailed guide for each boss battle, as well as the possible rewards for defeating them.

List of Weekly Bosses and Rewards

1. Boreas, Dominator of Wolves

The Boreas boss can be found west of Wolvendom in Genshin Impact. Return to the arena after completing the Lupus Minor: Act One quest and interact with the spectral sword to begin the battle. Compared to the trial, Boreas will not dissipate at half HP this time. To maximize damage, watch for his prowl animation, manage stamina during his attacks, and identify moves based on accompanying noises. During Boreas’ prowling phase, launch your offensive.

At 50% HP, Boreas enters the second phase and begins charging around. Evade Boreas attacks and don’t engage in a fight as attacking him loses effectiveness in this phase. Keep an eye out for sudden stops, which indicate a charge through you, followed by a frost drop and jump attack.

Boreas freezes in the center during the final phase. Be cautious of double claw swings, tail swipes, hind leg stands, and falling icicles. Choose Pyro element over Cryo. Get around, avoid attacks, and concentrate on dealing damage to win and claim your rewards.

These are the possible rewards you could get after you defeat Boreas

  • Tail of Boreas
  • Ring of Boreas
  • Spirit Locket of Boreas
  • Dream Solvent
  • Northlander Billets
  • Berserker Artifacts
  • Instructor Artifacts
  • The Exile Artifacts
  • Gladiator’s Finale Artifacts

  • Shivada Jade Ascension Crystals

2. Stormterror Dvalin

Stormterror is one of the weekly bosses found in Mondstadt after completing Prologue Three in Genshin Impact. To defeat Stormterror, use Bow characters to target its head and claws, and use Elemental Reactions when its claws rest on the platform. Use caution during its various attacks, such as sweeping its head and launching Anemo projectiles, and seize strategic counterattack opportunities. In Phase 2, when Stormterror is resting, position yourself on the opposite platform’s far edge and use all of your characters to quickly deplete his shield.

You can now climb his neck and deal significant damage. After the first crystal assault, avoid dangerous platforms by moving quickly between non-glowing ones with wind gusts. Due to Stormterror’s limited arsenal, Phase 3 is an imitation of Phase 1. The goal is to maximize damage while minimizing downtime. With patience, strategic positioning, and effective Elemental Reactions, defeat Stormterror in Genshin Impact’s weekly boss encounter.

3. Childe, Tartaglia

In Genshin Impact’s Golden House of Liyue, you can face a difficult boss fight against Tartaglia, aka Childe. The encounter is divided into phases with Hydro attacks that require you to anticipate moves by observing his weapon shape.

Breaking Childe’s Hydro veil is critical, and stagger effects must be used strategically. Be prepared for broad-reaching melee attacks as he switches to daggers, relying on ranged characters, shields, and heals for survival. Childe’s battle heats up as he approaches 1% HP, transforming from Hydro into Electro form.

Frontal attacks must be avoided, and breaking the Electro veil staggers him for a counterattack. When he reaches 50% HP, he transforms into an enraged Harbinger, combining Hydro and Electro attacks with increased potency. Beware of devastating one-shot damage.

Navigate around his dangerous moves, such as teleportation, Hydro whale summoning, bow-aimed Hydro geysers, and Electro dives. For massive damage, use opposite Elemental Bursts. Victory requires skilled evasion, strategic timing, and an understanding of Tartaglia’s diverse moveset.

4. Azhdaha, Sealed Lord of Vishaps

In Genshin Impact, facing the fearsome Geo elemental dragon Azhdaha in the Nantianmen Trounce Domain requires planning and teamwork. While its high HP may be intimidating to solo players, co-op play with friends can help you fight Azhdaha for a more manageable encounter.

Just like other weekly bosses, you can just teleport directly to its trounce domain, and it’s important to note Azhdaha’s elemental shifts during the battle, which affect its resistances and reduce the effectiveness of corresponding attacks so make sure to look closely at the entrance of the trounce domain before entering to know about that week’s element of Azdaha.

Azhdaha’s first phase features slow but deceptive Geo attacks that require careful evasion or timely shielding. Azhdaha adds an element in the second phase, prompting you to retreat during ground-trampling animations and shielding yourself from elemental damage. Characters who are hit by elemental attacks take continuous damage, which can be prevented with shields or by removing the element.

In the final phase, a dual elemental infusion is introduced, causing all attacks to pose an elemental threat. To defeat the Sealed Lord of Vishaps, success in this phase requires a measured and strategic approach focusing on coordination, adaptability, and a well-thought-out plan.

These are the possible rewards you could get after you defeat Azhdaha

  • Dragon Lord’s Crown

5. La Signora, Eighth of the Fatui Harbingers

Face the difficult battle against La Signora in the trounce domain of Inazuma City. This fearsome boss, who is skilled in both Pyro and Cryo elements, poses a dual threat. During the confrontation, manage the elemental bar that will be affected by extreme cold or heat. During the cryo phase, avoid Signora’s projectiles and use a hit-and-run strategy while keeping an eye on your cold bar. Torches can be used to warm up or smashed to remove the cryo debuff.

As Signora’s health begins to drop she encases herself in an iceberg, requiring you to collect Crimson Lotus Moths and attack her frozen transforming state. In the second phase of the battle, prepare for Signora’s pyro phase. She uses quick, powerful attacks that require agility and strategic thinking.

To reduce the heat bar, use shields when necessary, dodge-and-attack when there is an opening, and destroy torches. Adapt your strategies as you progress through the phases to achieve victory.

  • Molten Moment

6. Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto

Prepare to defeat Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto one of the Genshin Impact Weekly Bosses located in the Trounce Domain beneath the Grand Narukami Shrine. Due to the boss’s high Electro DMG, form a party of Pyro, Hydro, or Cryo. However, keep in mind that an Electro character, as well as a healer, is necessary. To deal damage safely and avoid area-of-effect attacks, use a ranged character. Bring in an Electro character during the Baleful Shadowlord phase to counter an instant death move.

To minimize damage, keep an eye on the circle meter under the health bar of the boss for the transition and quickly destroy Magatsu’s Electroculi attacks. The boss introduces difficult moves such as Flowers of Remembrance and shockwave-emitting pillars in the second phase. Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto duplicates herself in phase three, and you must identify the real one to stun her.

The final move involves circular Electro AoEs, which require constant movement to avoid explosions and heal strategically. In this difficult Boss battle, coordination and agility are crucial for victory.

  • Mudra of the Malefic General
  • Tears of the Calamitous God

7. Scaramouche, Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom

Complete Archon Quest Chapter 3: Act 5 and locate the Trounce domain west of Sumeru City to face the Scaramouche boss in Genshin Impact. The fight is divided into two phases: the first is shieldless, allowing for free damage, and the second requires a reliable ranged DPS as well as a shielder or healer. Avoid beam attacks by using anemo abilities and summoned whirlwinds by staying close to the boss.

The battleground includes elemental matrices that have distinct effects. Pyro must be used against Cryo, Cryo must be used against Pyro, Anemo must be used for evasion, Hydro must be used for healing, and Electro must be used to suppress the boss.

In the second phase, you must use scattered energy cores to power up the Neo Akasha Terminal. Once charged, aim and fire at the boss’s shield to weaken it. After that, you must prevent the boss from summoning a meteor. To stop this attack, you must destroy devices in the room’s center that are vulnerable to Dendro, Pyro, and Cryo, reactivate the Neo Akasha Terminal, and target the boss’s chest to stun him. Taking advantage of this opportunity, you can grapple to a platform and unleash a barrage of attacks to eventually defeat the formidable Balladeer.

These are the possible rewards you could get after you defeat Scaramouche

  • Puppet Strings
  • Mirror of Mushin
  • Daka’s Bell
  • Dream Solvent
  • Northlander Billet

8. Guardian of Apep’s Oasis

Face the formidable Guardian of Apep’s Oasis one of the Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact by unlocking The Realm of Beginnings through Nahida‘s Story Quest: Act II. The boss, found in the Sumeru desert’s Trounce Domain, has increased Dendro resistance, so avoid using Dendro DPS characters. Unless you’re using ranged DPS, it’s best to stay close to the bosses during his melee attacks. Avoid or dodge physical attacks by relying on a strong healer or shield character for protection.

In the second phase, you will encounter Proliferating Organisms surrounding the Heart of Oasis. In this phase, Anemo characters are useful for crowd control. The goal is to keep the Heart safe by defeating organisms and keeping an eye on the cleansing process meter.

The Guardian enters full Dendro mode in the third phase, with new ranged attacks. To minimize damage, you should stick to your offensive strategy from phase one, avoiding the boss’s attacks and seeking safety in dome shields during powerful Dendro barrages.

  • Worldspan Fern
  • Primordial Greenbloom
  • Everamber
  • Northlander Billet

9. All-Devouring Narwhal

To face the All-Devouring Narwhal boss in Genshin Impact, progress through the main storyline until Chapter IV: Act V. The Trounce Domain can be found underwater near the Court of Fontaine in the Salacia Plains. When the Narwhal fully emerges, use powerful attacks and bring characters with Pneuma and Ousia abilities for strategic advantage. During the first phase, you must avoid the boss’s attacks, fill the rage meter with successful hits, and deal with the Eye of the Maelstrom if it isn’t filled.

The enraged boss initiates the next phase, in which you must either reduce the Dark Shadow‘s HP or break its shield using Pneuma and Ousia. Returning to the weakened Narwhal in the arena allows you to unleash devastating attacks and potentially end the battle.

Failing to deplete the boss’s HP bar initiates the second stage, in which the Narwhal’s attacks remain consistent, with occasional jumps dealing AoE damage. After re-enraging, the Narwhal will swallow you, resulting in the second phase against the Dark Shadow. To achieve victory, use Pneuma and Ousia to consistently disrupt attacks until you defeat the All-Devouring Narwhal.

These are the possible rewards you could get after you defeat All-Devouring Narwhal

  • Lightless Silk String
  • Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom
  • Lightless Mass
  • Northlander Billet
