Following the surprise announcement of Overwatch Rush, Blizzard Entertainment has immediately kicked off a Closed Beta Test for Android users. If you are eager to download and try this 4v4 top-down hero shooter, Overwatch Rush, but aren’t seeing it in your local store, here is exactly how to get it.
Step-by-step guide to download the Overwatch Rush beta
As of February 26, 2026, the early access period is live exclusively in the Philippines on Android. I’ll be explaining in detail how you can download, install, and play Overwatch Rush on your mobile phone.
Official Play Store Method (Philippines Only)
If you are located in the Philippines, the process is straightforward:
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for “Overwatch Rush” or follow the direct link here.
- Tap Install and download the roughly 1.4GB initial game data
- Once installed, you can enjoy Overwatch Rush
How to download from anywhere in the world
If you are outside the test region, you can still access the game by following these steps:
- Create or log in to Google Play using a Philippine Google account
- Connect to a Philippines server using a reliable VPN
- Optional: If you still don’t see the PH store loading for you, clear your Play Store Cache: Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage and tap Clear Cache
- Once the Philippine store loads, search for and download Overwatch Rush
- Once installed, you can enjoy the game without needing a VPN
Overwatch Rush Minimum System Requirements
Before downloading, ensure your device meets these specific hardware requirements released by Blizzard:
- Platform: Android
- Min Ram: 3GB
- Min Spec Chipset: Snapdragon 480 / Exynos 980 / Dimensity 700
