PUBG Mobile or Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is known for their frequent innovative additions to the game. Previously, we have seen the Smoke Grenade Launcher and its usage on the battlefield. After its introduction in the game, it became very useful and tactical for both casual players and esports athletes. Recently, in the 3.6 version update, a new utility item has been added. It is none other than the Welding Gun. In this article, we are going to discuss the ways to use the Welding Gun in BGMI or PUBG Mobile.
What is a Welding Gun in PUBG Mobile or BGMI
As you can guess from the name, the Welding Gun is a utility item in PUBG Mobile or BGMI. It can repair your damaged vehicle, replenish the health of a vehicle with very low HP, etc. You can not reload or refill this gun after using it. You should remember one thing this Welding Gun can not fix flat tires of a vehicle.
Previously, we have had the vehicle repair kit in Payload mode. But this gun is different from that. This weapon is equipped with a Pistol slot. You can get this utility item at the fuel stations as it spawns there randomly. However, this gun is a very rare item so it is not guaranteed that you will get one every time you go to a fuel station. You can also buy the Welding Gun from the supply shops using 10 shop tokens. It can be found in gas stations only.
How to use the Welding Gun in PUBG Mobile or BGMI
After playing the new version and using the Welding Gun, we have shortlisted some useful ways to use the Welding Gun in the battlegrounds. Those are:
1. Repair your Damaged Vehicles
As a functional weapon, the Welding Gun can recover a vehicle’s health and can repair about two damaged vehicles. You can approach a vehicle at low health to repair it and it will replenish the HP of that vehicle.
2. Destroy the Enemy vehicles with the Welding Gun
When you use the Welding Gun on an enemy vehicle, it quickly reduces its health until it is destroyed. When you apply it on an enemy vehicle, it shows a red marker-like headshot sign. If an enemy is sitting inside the vehicle, they will get finished too during the explosion.
3. Troll your enemies with the Welding Gun
Besides repairing and destroying vehicles, the Welding Gun can also damage enemies. However, it deals little damage and has a very short range so it is easy for enemies to retaliate. It is best not to use it as a primary weapon. However, you can troll your enemies with the Welding Gun after knocking them out using your primary weapons.
4. No more vehicle breakdowns during rotations
While making rotations in a match, if you are met with enemy fire and there is not any hardcover nearby, then you can use your vehicle as a mobile cover. After it gets damaged from the gunshots whip out the Welding Gun to repair it before continuing. As this weapon can not fix damaged tires, your enemies can prioritize targeting your vehicle’s tires to limit your movement and get you in a trap.
5. Repair your vehicle while riding it
One of the best uses of this Welding Gun is when you are traversing and suddenly get gunshots and again you do not have any hardcovers, you can just change your seat and use it to repair the vehicle. The vehicle will continue to move forward due to momentum. You can also give it to your teammate and tell them to repair the vehicle while you drive it. This type of gameplay can be proven very crucial in tournaments or scrims.
Final Thoughts
The Welding Gun is undoubtedly a great addition to the game. However, in classic modes, it is very unlikely that it to become a must-have utility option. But it will be very useful in scrims and custom rooms as vehicles are one of the necessities there and you cannot make rotations without a vehicle.
