MGCM Magical Girls is a maiden-themed Gacha RPG on mobile by Gae Mobile Limited. In this game, players will have to work on managing a team of magical girls, to drive out the darkness and defeat the demons. This is the MGCM Magical Girls beginners guide to help you get to know the game.
Understanding the basics of MGCM Magical Girls
MGCM Magical Girls features their story as the main focus of the game. You play as the protagonist of the story and your job is to guide and fight alongside the magical girls that you befriend as you progress through the story. You must strengthen your bonds and help the girls reach their potential as you explore infinite possibilities.
Magical girls are characters that you can pick to battle the demons. There are currently 12 magical girls that you can choose for battle along with many variations of their dress. The 12 characters are :
- Asobe Iroha
- Tomonaga Kaori
- Sodeshiro Seira
- Yuwase Cocoa
- Higashiyama Akisa
- Ohtori Ao
- Ohtori Aka
- Yukifune Eliza
- Yarimizu Lilly
- Tamaki Hanabi
- Okada Marianne
- Oikawa Iko
Bonds are the level of how deep your relationship has become with your magical girls. You can increase your bond level by clearing stages or battles. You can claim rewards every time a magical girls’ bond level is raised.
Dress are costumes that your magical girls can use that can have different variations of abilities and elements that you can upgrade with Enhance Magic Silks and Bells. You can pick one dress to be the main dress and 4 different dresses from any magical girl as the sub dress to receive increased stats. Sub dress with the same element and character will give even higher bonus stats.
It also comes with different types of rarity, with the lowest to highest is N (Normal), R (Rare), SR (Super Rare), and UR (Ultra Rare). You can increase the dress level limit through Limit Break by spending Spheres and identical Dresses while also enhancing their skill by consuming materials that are the same as their element.
In the quest menu, you can look at different kinds of battles that you can do in the game. Such as Main Story, Daily Quests, Endless Quest, Demon’s Tower, Challenge Quests, Event Quests, and many more.
One of the main parts of the game is the battle. The system is turn-based meaning that you can pick what skill your magical girl will do against what enemy. After all of your magical girls finish attacking, the enemy will then attack as a return.
You can also choose to activated certain functions to help you play the game. Such as :
- Play speed : Let’s you increase the speed of the battle by 1x, 2x, or 3x the speed.
- Auto-play : Automatically let the AI makes the decision and plays the game for you.
- Auto-pass : Automatically replay the same stage for easy farming of rewards.
There are 5 types of elements present in the game that your Magical girls can have, with a kind of rock, paper, and scissors system in place. The elements are :
- Fire: Good against Thunder but weak against Water
- Thunder: Good against Water but weak against Fire
- Water: Good against Fire but weak against Thunder
- Dark: Good but also Weak against Light
- Light: Good but also Weak against Dark
Elements that are good against another element will receive a 30% increase to perform smite (30% increase in damage) and a 15% increase of Crit rate. But if the element is weak, then it will receive a 50% chance attacks will miss and a 15% decrease in Crit rate. This means Light and Dark have affected both rules.
Orbs are items that can be equipped to dress in their corresponding slot to give them increase stats. Their rarity is almost the same as a Dress, but with a different prefix for each rarity (Except for normal). They are:
- Sparkly : The same as UR
- Glowing : The same as SR
- Shiny : The same as R
The studio is the place where you can equip your magical girls with every dress that you have unlocked no matter the character in Combo Mode and take pictures of them in Photo Mode.
The team is a guild system where you can join or create a team, interact with team members, and join on multiple team battles. A team can only consist of 24 people, so don’t forget to quickly join one when available.
These are tasks that you can finish to receive rewards. There 3 types of missions, Beginner Mission, Daily Mission, and Normal Mission. Don’t forget to regularly check the game and finish the daily tasks.
Gacha and Shop
The place where you can spend your normal and paid gems in exchange for required dresses. You can also go to the shop to buy all kinds of materials and items with different types of currencies such as Gems, Bells, Character Badges, and others.
Is the place where you can challenge other players’ magical girl’s parties. You will need a certain amount of S Stamina to start battling in the arena.

1. Quickly use your Gems
If you’ve just started playing, the game will generally give you a lot of gems that you can collect from the rewards menu. You can use this for the gacha early on in the game. Drawing a bundle of 10x will always guarantee that you receive an SR and above character, so makes sure to only use that.
2. Choosing the best magical Girls
After spending your gems in the gacha and acquiring SR and above magical girls, you can now start placing them in your party. To automatically place the most optimized party, you can go to Dress, select Quest Deck, press Remove All, and then press Recommended. Don’t forget to save it.
3. Focus on clearing the main story
Lastly, what you want to do is go through the story as quickly as possible. This is because more features will get unlocked as you progress more into the story. By following the tips above, you can be guaranteed to dash through the story quite quickly by also using the skip button to skip the story scene.
