Pokémon Go: Best Moveset and Counters for Onix

Guide for the best counters against Onix during Battle Raids!

Onix is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go which looks like a snake made of rocks. It has a serpentine body that consists of gray boulders and pebbles. It also has a long horn on the top of its head along with small eyes. Even though it is a Tier 3 Raid Boss, it is a fairly easy Pokémon to fight against. So in this guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters using which one can defeat Onix in in Pokémon Go as easily as possible.

Onix in Pokémon Go

Onix is a dual-type Rock and Ground-type Pokémon with a maximum Raid Boss CP of 9429. It is vulnerable to Fighting, Grass, Water, Ground, Ice, and Steel-type attacks. It also has a 2x weakness towards Grass and Water type counters. This is the reason why even though it has a decent enough CP and is also a Raid Boss, pretty much any trainer with just the right type of counters can defeat it fairly easily all by themselves.

Players who have less experience and know what Pokémon they should bring into the battle, they should make sure to use their best Grass and Water-type Pokémon as Onix has a 2x weakness towards them and this will heavily put them in the favor of ending the battle on the winning side just by themselves.
